Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 – Release date, new characters, banners, amphorae, story updates and events

All details about Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 and the fate of the Amphoraus were officially revealed by developer HoYoverse ahead of the update's release in late January. Version 3.0 will kick off the turn-based RPG's third year of content following Astral Express's adventures in Penacony. Now, they will venture into the mysterious world of Ampforeus, where they will help solve a unique problem on their journey while meeting various Ampforeus characters in Honkai: Star Trailwhich will be fundamental in moving the story forward and helping in the exploration of this enigmatic place.

Version 3.0 will also be responsible for introducing Remembrance as a playable path. Remembrance, along with Erudite and another unnamed Path, is one of the three main Paths to which Ampforeus is aligned. Two new characters in the Path of Remembrance will be introduced in version 3.0, including Aglaea, who is from Ampforeus, and the Pathfinder of Remembrance. In addition to Anphoreus in Honkai: Star TrailThere will be plenty of extra content for players to explore in the next patch, which shouldn't take long to release.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 – Release Date

The update arrives in January

The Herta and Aglaea from Honkai Star Rail pose in Amphoraus.

It has been confirmed by HoYoverse that the game is following its regular six-week update schedule and that Version 3.0 will be released on January 15th. The information was revealed during the Version 3.0 live broadcast, which was broadcast on the official channel Honkai: Star Trail channel on YouTube. This shows that the game has not suffered internal delays and that the standard release schedule is being followed. With the definitive release date confirmed, it's unlikely the update will be delayed in any way.

The release date confirmation also debunks a previous rumor that version 2.7, the final update before version 3.0, would be the longest patch yet. The leak didn't specify how long it would last, but did mention that it would last longer, which would inevitably push the expected release date beyond January 15th. This, however, proved to be incorrect as HoYoverse confirmed that Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 will arrive exactly when expected.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 – New characters and banners

Multiple repetitions will occur during the update

While the new characters were confirmed by HoYoverse over a month ago, the company has now outlined how each of these characters will work in the game. Herta is the first of these new characters. The 5-star Ice character follows the Path of Erudite. The character specializes in dealing damage to multiple targets, even if she starts by dealing damage to a single target. Herta can apply stacks of Interpretation to enemies (up to 42 stacks each) and when using her Enhanced Skill, she deals extra damage based on how many stacks they have.

Aglaea is the other new 5-star character in version 3.0. The character Ampforeus deals Lightning DMG and follows the Path of Remembrance. As a Remembrance character, Aglaea can summon a memosprite and hers is called Garmentmaker. The core of his rotation revolves around attacking enemies and marking them - in turn, Garmentmaker attacks marked enemies. Over the course of combat, Garmentmaker can accumulate stacks of SPD and when Aglaea uses her Ultimate, she inherits the accumulated SPD, increasing not only that stat, specifically, but her damage output.. Aglaea leaked kit in Honkai: Star Trail predicted that SPD would be vital to his rotation.

The third and final new character is the Remembrance Trailblazer. Dealing Ice DMG, the protagonist's new form will also summon a memosprite, although theirs is called Mem. The idea is to build up charges for Mem fighting normally and when the memosprite is at full energy, Mem can buff a target ally and allow him to deal True DMG. This is a new game mechanic that ignores buffs and debuffs on target opponents and attacks them directly. The Pioneer of Remembrance in Honkai: Star Trail will be a support, while Aglaea, who is also a Memory unit, will be a DPS.

During the live broadcast, HoYoverse also confirmed the banner structure in version 3.0. THE Phase 1 banners will feature The Herta and a triple reprise consisting of Jade, Feixiao and Lingsha, while Phase 2 banners will offer Aglaea and a triple reprise consisting of Boothill, Robin and Silver Wolf. This information confirms previous leaks about version 3.0 banners. In Phase 1, Natasha, Asta, and Moze will have increased drop rates, while Phase 2 banners in Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 will make it easier to obtain Tignyun, Hanya, and Qingque.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 – History of Ampforeus, map updates, events and more

Amphoreus will offer most of the update's content

The Honkai Star Rail Titan is in Ampforeus.

Amphoreus will represent the majority of new playable content in version 3.0. The Eternal Land will launch with four new maps: Abyss of Fate, Okhema, Castrum Kremnos and Vortex of Origin. Although some maps may be a little smaller, Okhema is expected to be a huge area as it is the main city of Amphoraus.. The Marmoreal Palace, for example, will be a large sub-region within Okhema. Within some of these maps will reside new enemies known as Titankins. These opponents have a special mechanic called War Armor in Honkai: Star Trail.

When this War Armor is depleted, they will lose a portion of their HP and players will restore some energy. Other Amphoraus opponents will also be introduced, such as the Titan Nikador's avatar, and will also have special game mechanics. There will even be a chest-stealing enemy that needs to be hunted down and defeated before claiming the items from the respective chest.

Version 3.0 will add a new Trailblaze quest chapter set in Amphoraus, where the Trailblazer will follow the Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase. In The Eternal Land, the Trailblazer and Dan Heng will serve as the exploration vanguard of the Astral Express. March 7th will be left out of this adventure, even temporarily, as it has some connection with Remembrance and will embark on an individual journey to resolve this. In Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 and later, players will help the Heirs of Chrysos defeat Titans and recover Coreflames to restore the planet to its full glory.

Several events will happen in version 3.0. Hypogeum Enigma will be the main event with multiple game modes that will offer players Stellar Jade and Self-Modeling Resin. Illia Travelogue is an event that helps players explore Amphora, face enemies, and obtain rewards in Amphora. The Enscrolled Crepusculum event will be combat-centric and feature unique battle mechanics. Players can look forward to the Gift of Odyssey login event that offers 10 special Star Rail passesas well as Mem's Gift, which will also grant 10 special Star Rail passes and a variable die on Honkai: Star Trail.

The update will add a new Calyx (Crimson) activity, dropping Ascension materials for Remembrance charactersas well as a new Cavern of Corrosion, which results in the introduction of two new sets of Relics. A new Flying Amphora mechanic will be added to Amphoraus to increase movement speed, and the daily Trailblaze Power cap will be expanded to 300. Additionally, all upgrade material stages will be made available even if players have not unlocked them in the map. Version 3.0 will finally see the introduction of Treasure Gadget items and a new Leveling Guide.

Players who log in during version 3.0 will also be gifted the free March 7 Nascent Spring skin, exclusive to their Preservation form. During the patch, a new event called Cosmic Lucky Prize will also take place. This is essentially an in-game lottery where 20 players will win 500,000 Stellar Jade, although participants can also claim some free Stellar Jade. Players will be busy during Honkai: Star Trail 3.0, and this is just the first patch of the year.
