A new Honkai: Star Trail The 3.0 leak showed that HoYoverse's turn-based RPG will see a major technical improvement added to the game's setting, but only a few players will be able to take advantage of it. Version 3.0 is the game's next major patch and will introduce the destination of Amphoraus for players to explore. This new area will kick off the game's third year of content, as Astral Express weaves through yet another story arc and inevitably meets the many confirmed Amphoraus characters in Honkai: Star Trail.
Version 3.0 will also be important because it will be the update that introduces Remembrance as a new playable path. This will be the first new playable path since the game's launch and will initially be represented by Aglaea and the Remembrance Trailblazerboth already confirmed by HoYoverse. While new content is the most exciting aspect of the patch, there have also been leaks about quality tweaks, like increasing Trailblaze Power by Honkai: Star Trail 3.0.
Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 can unlock 120 FPS on PC
Console and mobile players will likely be excluded from the performance option
Now, it looks like another system setting will be updated in version 3.0. According to information provided by the leaker known as Flying Flame, which was shared in a post tagged “Reliable" about Reddit, Version 3.0 will add an option that unlocks 120 FPS (frames per second) on PC. If this is true, the update will inevitably result in the game offering a smoother presentation when running on PC systems. However, that is precisely the problem: the update should only affect Honkai: Star Trail on PC.
Players on consoles and mobile devices will likely not have access to the new leaked setting for version 3.0as the leak only specifies that it will be available for PC. This isn't necessarily a disadvantage, but it highlights the differences between players on different platforms. Of course, if players access the game on different platforms and move from mobile to PC, for example, they will have access to 120 FPS on PC.
Some PC players may be blocked from accessing Honkai: Leaked Star Rail technical update
Such a configuration may require better PC specifications
Even on PC, however, some players may be left out of the picture. This is because running the game at 120 FPS requires a powerful system, especially if players want to maintain the same level of graphical fidelity they currently have. As such, if a gamer is using a mid-level PC, they may have to sacrifice some graphics settings to run it at 120 FPS or be content to run it at 60 FPS or less. For the leaked FPS setting to be seen in Honkai: Star Traila screen that runs at 120 FPS is also required.
For now, the leak should be considered with caution as the information may be incorrect or subject to change. However, it doesn't seem far-fetched to imagine that the game is receiving technical improvements as it continues to grow. Now, players should start saving their Stellar Jade for version 3.0 as they will have several new characters to use during Honkai: Star Trailnext year – which can, hopefully, occur at 120 FPS.
