All the contents of Honkai: Star Rail 2.6 have been confirmed by developer HoYoverse during the respective livestream event of the update, including the character banner structure, tiers for the new story quests and descriptions of the limited-time events and rewards during the patch. Version 2.6 is the next big patch for the turn-based RPG and it should move away from the Xianzhou Luofu's story arc where the Astral Express crew attends the Wardance Festival. Now, players are expected to move back to Penaconi, where they will meet Rapa in Honkai: Star Rail.
This patch may not distance itself entirely from the Xianzhou Luofu, as the 5-star version of Tingyun is set to be released in version 2.7 and there will likely be a way to connect players to her. Compared to version 2.5, this patch may not be too story-heavy, and a lot of the content will revolve around the limited-time events, all of which provide rewards, including free Stellar Jade. Aside from getting Rappa from banners, the Stellar Jade can also help players get any of their desired Rerun characters from the banners in Honkai: Star Rail 2.6.
Honkai: Star Rail 2.6 - Release Date

This debunks previous rumors that version 2.5 would be a shorter patch for the turn-based RPG.
Honkai: Star Rail 2.6 - New characters and banners
Rapa will make her debut along with gorgeous reruns
As previously mentioned, Rapa is the new playable character that was introduced with version 2.6. Rapa is a 5-star fantasy character who follows the path of erudition, making her a specialist in facing multiple enemies at once rather than dealing single-target damage. The Penacony character is a major DPS who also specializes in Break DMG. As such, the Galaxy Ranger known as Rapa can easily be used in team comps alongside Ruan Mei and the Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai: Star RailAs an imaginary multi-purpose alternative to Firefly, for example.
With her skills, Rapa can deal AoE (area of effect) damage to all opponents on the field. With her ultimate, Rapa enters the sealform state and gains Chroma Ink points. In this state, rapa increases the weakness brake effect and brake effect, and is Capable of reducing toughness on enemies that don't have an Imaginary Weakness. The combination of this effect is with Rapa's talent, which sees her deal extra break DMG when an enemy's toughness is broken. She can deal Super Break DMG to opponents without the Harmony Trailblazer, though they are a good support for Rappa in Honkai: Star Rail.

Rapa will debut in Phase 1 Banners for version 2.6 and will run alongside Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae. The 5-star version of Dan Heng is an imaginary character on the path of destruction and excels as a single-target DPS and a multi-target striker. Imbibitor Lunae is acclaimed as one of the strongest DPS in the game, and its only downside is its high Skill Point consumption, which significantly improves its Basic Attacks - this, however, can easily be mitigated with the presence of Sparkle in Honkai: Star RailFor example.
In Phase 2 Banners, Aventurine and Acheron will run again. Acheron is a 5-star flash character on the path of nihility, although instead of simply applying debuffs to enemies, she charges her ultimate with every debuff played in combat - and upon using the ultimate, she can deal devastating damage to enemies. Aventurine, on the other hand, is a 5-star imaginary character on the path of preservation. He is widely acclaimed as one of the best shields in the game, so players looking for protection rather than simply healing may have a chance to get him.
Phase 2 banners will have increased drop rates for March 7 (Preservation), Sampo, and Pella. During each phase, the featured 5-star signature light cones will also be available in dedicated light cone banners In the gacha system.
