There will also be Christmas-themed Wooloo and Dubwool, with Dubwool evolving from costumed Wooloo. During this event, you'll earn double XP for catching Pokémon and a 50% bonus for Raid Battles, making it a great time to play.
Many activities will include special field research tasks and collection challenges that offer rewards like Stardust, Poké Balls, and Pokémon encounters. Raids will feature a wide variety of Pokémon, from one-star attacks with Cetoddle to five-star attacks with Giratina (Altered Forme), along with Mega Raids with Latias and Abomasnow. THE Pokemon GO The Holiday Part 2 event will bring some new Pokémon for you to obtain. The biggest highlight is the first appearance of Shiny Ketoddlean exclusive Ice-type Pokémon that you can catch in a special gray and orange color. You will have a lot of chances to encounter Shiny Ketoddle, especially in raids where he is more likely to appear.

THE Pokemon GO The Holiday Part 2 event features more frequent appearances of certain Pokémon in the game. You'll see an increase in wild encounters with familiar Pokémon like Alolan Rattata, Galarian Zigzagoon, Murkrow, Blitzle, Vanillite and Tynamogiving them more chances to capture them or complete research tasks. The rare Pokémon Absol will also have a higher chance of appearing, but is still rare overall. Pokemon GO will likely do this to ensure more players participate in the event.
The event also makes Incense more effective, increasing your chances of encountering specific Pokémon. On even days, Pokemon GOIncense will attract Snorlax, Blitzle, Yamask, Lampent and Holiday Attire Wooloo, while on odd-numbered days, trainers can find Galarian Zigzagoon, Togetic, Foongus, Furfrou and Cetoddle. Even so, the event won't last long, so you only have three days to get the even number Pokémon and three days to get the odd numbers Pokémon. Once the days are up, Pokémon will return to their normal spawn rates. However, you can still use Incense to find Pokémon.

In 2024 Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2 event, you can participate in a variety of raid battles with different difficulty levels. This allows everyone to encounter various Pokémon, including some shiny versions. In One Star Raids you will face easier challenges and can find Alolan Vulpix, Galarian Darumaka, Litwickand the exciting debut of Shiny Ketoddle. Three-star raids are more difficult and feature Pokémon such as Snorlax, Banette, Zebstrika and Toucan. While shiny versions are not guaranteed in these raids, you generally have a better chance of encountering shiny Pokémon during the event. Unfortunately, this is not recommended for newer players, only those who have developed their Pokémon to beat one-star attacks more easily.
You must be at least level 30 or higher for three-star raids, and your attackers must be above level 30. For a five-star, it's at least level 75. Keep an eye on the raid schedule for December 2024 to see what you should be online for.
Higher level raids are even more challenging and rewarding. Mega Raids will feature different Mega Pokémon over time. Mega Latias will be available until December 26th at 10am local timeand then Mega Abomasnow will take control. Lastly, five-star raids will include Giratina (altered form), starting December 26th at 10am local time. This legendary Pokémon is a tough opponent, but capturing it can be a great addition to any collection.

THE Pokemon GO The Holiday Part 2 (2024) event brings many rewards for trainers. The event includes special Field Research tasks that allow you to find Christmas-themed Pokémon. For $5 (or local equivalent), trainers can access exclusive Timed Research. Rewards for this include a Glacial Lure Module, two incense sticks and a Wooloo jacket for the trainer's avatar.
Please remember that all purchases, including gifts, are non-refundable and trainers cannot use PokéCoins for them.
Players who achieved “Great friends” status can purchase and gift these timed research tickets to others. Also, remember that the timed research must be completed by 8pm local time on Friday, December 27, 2024, or you will lose Additionally, during the event, catching Pokémon gives trainers double XP and Raid Battles give a 50% XP bonus.
In addition to capturing Pokémon, the the event has an extended Daily Adventure Incense durationwhich lasts twice as long, from December 25, 2024, to January 5, 2025, giving you more chances to encounter Pokémon. Completing special event-related tasks and challenges earns you Stardust, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and more encounters with event Pokémon.
The in-game store will also have new avatar items like a Staryu and Marshtomp sweater that you can purchase during and after the event.
