The Christmas season is about to begin well and truly in Pokemon GO as the Holiday Part 1 event is coming soon to kick festive activities into high gear. Along with a debut of new costumed Pokémona specific variety of increased spawns, event bonuses, special egg reserves, an altered selection of raid bosses and more, there's plenty to keep you busy in this first installment of the game's festive-themed fun.
The words “first part” are key here, as after the limited duration of this event, Pokemon GO there will be a Part 2 event starting shortly after. With debuts, bonuses, and other Raid bosses, there will be plenty to keep track of as we see the game's run in 2024. However, as long as you take note of the current Raid Boss schedule and the Max Monday schedule, take note of the additions in light of these events. It shouldn't be too difficult to make the most of everything to enjoy in December 2024.
Holiday Part 1 Start date and time
Five days in December
The Holiday Part 1 event will begin on Pokemon GO on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, to 10:00 for five days. The event will end on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 9:59 am. Please remember that these dates and times are all in local time. This means you won't have to worry about converting anything to your location.
THE Pokemon GO The Web Store will also have an Ultra Holiday Box available. This will include a storage upgrade, an item bag upgrade, and 17 rare candies.
Five days is quite a long event compared to others this year. For example, the debut of the Gigantaxmax Lapras only took place over the course of three hours. Community Days can be equally short and pleasant, also going on for three hours and ending before you know it. In the case of Holiday Part 1, you'll have plenty of time to take a break from the festive celebrations and experience all the various features this event has to offer.
All Pokémon Debut During Holiday Part 1 Event
A Christmas-themed Dedenne
Only one major Pokémon debut is happening in the Holiday Part 1 event: the arrival of Dedenne wearing festive holiday attire. Specifically, the Antenna Pokémon will sport an adorable Santa Claus hood, two pompoms on its left ear, and a pair of bells on its tail. Dedenne has been part of the game since her debut in November 2021 as part of the Festival of Lights event, and the costumed variants only have cosmetic differences, with no changes to statistics.
Either way, Trainers who love costumed variants of Pocket Monsters in Pokemon GO You won't want to miss this one. What is more, a shiny version of this Dedenne in holiday attire will also have a chance to appear. According to the list of Shiny spawn rates, it seems like there should be a 1 in 256 chance of this particular Shiny Dedenne appearing, still making the chances quite slim. On the other hand, enough trial and error can lead to you meeting someone with the right amount of luck.
Increased spawns and wild encounters during the Holiday Part 1 event
