According to a report from DeadlineAmerican studios are in discussions to adapt Luis for the domestic audience. Deadline also reports that the BBC has already approved international broadcasting through BritBox after 9.5 million people watched the first season. The show has also been renewed for a second season, and both seasons will begin airing in the US and Canada starting next year. BritBox is contributing financially to season 2 despite not having streaming rights for 2024.

With so much success, it’s only natural that this show gets an American remake. Furthermore, procedures are certainly a popular concept in America. It’s a natural fit for the American market. Mixing comedy, mystery and detective shows would get some attention if it was marketed properly. Luis could very well fill the same niche as other procedurals while also offering an interesting gimmick and a convincing sense of humor. If The office could get a reboot after its success in America, so Luis It certainly has a chance.
