Notice! This article may contain spoilers High potential and IPH.High potentialABC’s hit 2024 show delivers thrilling remake of 2021 French series IPH (High Intellectual Potential). Following the model of the original show, the American version stars Kaitlin Olson as a single mother named Morgan, who does maintenance work before demonstrating a knack for solving crimes that compels the LAPD to work with her. As the two programs are closely related, IPH is, in many ways, the perfect replacement for High potential – which, at the time of writing, is on a mini hiatus. However, because the stories are so closely linked, IPH could inadvertently spoil High potential for some viewers.
As it is a detective series, preserving an air of mystery is vital to High potentialfuture success. However, given that the original series already covered some of the same ground, there is a chance that viewers will accidentally spoil the story for themselves. This is especially true when it comes to Morgan and Detective Karadec, as the will-they-won’t-they dynamic is the beating heart of the story.
High Potential’s best replacement program is HPI
HPI and high potential have intriguing protagonists
IPH and High potential share a premise and narrative. The French-Belgian crime comedy show stars Audrey Fleurot as Morgane, a governess with three children and a couple of ex-husbands. When Morgane finds crucial clues in a murder case, she works with the French police to solve the murder. In return, the police help Morgane reopen the case of her missing husband.
Morgan in High potential and Morgane in IPH They are similar in that they tend to break the rules, dress casually, have a sense of humor, and are extremely intelligent. Each female protagonist also has a dynamic partnership with Detective Karadecwho initially disapproves of having an outsider with no police experience solving crimes. However, Karadec gets used to her because of her sharp and brilliant mind. Karadec’s by-the-book approach and Morgan/Morgane’s unusual methods of solving crimes sum up their strange couple partnership.
Despite several similarities between the protagonists and plots, Morgane in IPH is more exaggerated and extravagant in her behavior, while Morgan in High potential is quirky but more grounded due to her responsibilities as a caring mother and supportive crime solver. Morgan also has more emotionally vulnerable scenes when confronting victims who have lost a loved one or when having important conversations with her daughter Ava. Despite this, IPH It’s a good replacement show to see this version of the protagonist and how Morgane has a slightly more unorthodox approach to her character and casework.
How HPI Could Screw Up If Morgan and Karadec Teamed Up
HPI can foreshadow what happens in high potential
While IPH worth watching for fans of High potentialIt is worth highlighting that IPH is still airing and involves a romantic relationship between Morgane and Karadec. This increases the obvious question of whether Morgan and Karadec will become romantically involved in the ABC series. Anyone familiar with IPH will undoubtedly assume that High potential will follow a similar structure, with the original show potentially spoiling what happens next in the ABC series.
…the fact that High potential has such an obvious template to follow means that any mystery surrounding the couple is essentially moot.
It is possible that producers of High potential might mix things up a bit, so that a potential relationship between Morgan and Karadec isn’t as predictable as many might assume. The break before the next episode of High potential it also raises questions about how a relationship between Morgan and Karadec is possible, given that Karadec was initially hesitant to work with her, and Morgan continues to balance work with family time and raising her three children. However, the fact High potential has such an obvious template to follow means that any mystery surrounding the couple is essentially moot.
