A series of new buffs leaked for The Herta in Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 has emerged, and from the looks of it, the 5-star character could become the first Erudite character of her kind, somewhat separate from the rest of her peers on the same Path. Herta is one of three new characters confirmed for version 3.0 alongside Aglaea and Remembrance Trailblazer. The other two will be the first in the new playable Remembrance Path. Because of beta testing, the Herta kit in Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 has already been leaked, showing how she performs on the field.
As an Ice Erudite character, like her 4-star version, The Herta specializes in dealing damage to multiple targets. Although her doll form tends to deal secondary damage through follow-up attacks, Herta's leaked kit shows that she has a more active role in team compositions as main DPS. Based on the leaks so far, The Herta can apply an effect on targets, and for each stack, she increases damage which can increase the damage she deals to opponents. During testing, Herta in Honkai: Star Trail has undergone changes, and most of them seem positive.

The character suffered a small nerf in one aspect of her talent
The buffs and other changes to Herta's kit were obtained by the leaker known as HomDGCat and then shared in a post tagged “Reliable” about Reddit. Among some of the notable updates is a change to his ability text, which previously mentioned that his Ice DMG effect could be repeated twice; now, the wording states that it will be repeated twice, instead of leaving it as a possibility. Furthermore, The ATK buff obtained by The Herta when using her Ultimate increases from 64% to 80% for three turns in Honkai: Star Trail instead of two before the buff.
Your Talent's DMG multiplier against other targets affected by Roleplay has been nerfed slightly, from 5% to 4%. However, one of the most notable leaked buffs for The Herta is to her technique. Now, instead of applying four stacks of Interpretation to all enemies at the start of each wave, Herta applies 25 stacks of Interpretation to a single random target, prioritizing Elite or rarer targets. His first Trace also saw the addition of a new effect that increases your Ice DMG when using an Improved Skill against a target with 42 stacks of Interpretation in Honkai: Star Trail.
Herta may stand out as a scholar character in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0
Multi-target DPS also appears to have great single-target DMG value
While the leaked buffs are making The Herta much stronger as a character overall, it appears she is being adapted to expand her repertoire as an Erudite character, in the sense that she also has value as a single-target damage dealer. The supposed update to the Herta Technique is huge. Not only has the number of Roleplay stacks increased from, essentially, 16 to 25, but they are all instantly applied to the strongest opponent in each wave.. For reference, roleplay stacks increase the Ultimate DMG multiplier Herta has in Honkai: Star Trail by 1%, up to 99%.
Using her Technique before entering battle should give Herta an immense advantage once she is able to use her Ultimate, because the number of Interpretation stacks on the stronger enemy will be greater, thus increasing the damage she is capable of. cause. An important aspect of Herta's leaked Ultimate is that when using it it rearranges Interpretation stacks, transferring them to Elite or higher targets. As such, her kit supposedly causes her to focus on a single enemy at once. Honkai: Star Trailwhile his multi-target DMG is just a consequence of his alignment with Erudite.
In his current state, based on his leaked kit upgrades, The Herta should thrive as a multi-target attacker, but will be able to be effective in situations with fewer enemies. Facing bosses that don't create many summons should be a possibility for The Herta because she will continue to apply a large number of Roleplay stacks to them, thus increasing her Ultimate DMG multiplier against them. This versatility is unprecedented for Erudite characters, no matter how strong they are. Even a strong unit like Argenti in Honkai: Star Trail often struggles against a single, stronger enemy.
The latest boss encounters feature more enemies than ever before, so a multi-target attacker like The Herta could be perfect for these fights. Not only could she deal with the summons created by them, but she could also double the damage she deals to the main boss. With your allies focused on a single target, preferably the boss himself rather than his summon, more stacks of Roleplay can be applied to them, making it a great unit for dealing with bossesespecially when compared to other Path of Erudite characters in Honkai: Star Trail.
Scholar characters in Honkai: Star Rail need a gameplay value overhaul
Currently, these characters thrive in a type of activity
Lately, Erudite characters have fallen out of favor outside of activities like Pure Fiction, where most enemies are simpler targets to defeat. In these activities, Erudite units tend to thrive, as they are quick to dispatch enemy waves with just a few hits. However, when faced with stronger elite enemies, their power seems diminished, and this has been a recurring problem in Erudite for some time.. As mentioned, Argenti is arguably the best in his Path, but he may struggle to be effective in many cases in Honkai: Star Trail.
It is not known whether the leaks about Herta's kit and buffs are true, so the information should be taken with caution. Additionally, while the stats sound good in theory, it remains to be seen how the character's abilities will translate into actual gameplay value, especially given the new roster of enemies arriving with the Amphoraus maps in version 3.0. However, the release of The Herta in Honkai: Star Trail looks extremely promising, as she could pave the way for future Erudite characters and bring value back to the Path.
