Heretic was made with an estimated budget of around $10 million, setting its magic number at around $25 million. Although the horror film nearly reached that total at the domestic box office alone, it grossed $31.9 million worldwide, thus surpassing the threshold. This means that Heretic It will almost certainly be a moneymaker for A24.
HereticTop 50 status is an achievement that goes beyond the film itself. Heretic became the third A24 film to move into the top 50 at the domestic box office in 2024.
