Our opinion on the Highlander report
The viability of the franchise is still questionable
It remains to be seen whether this delay in Henry Cavill’s reboot helps or hurts the film. If it hits the 2026 release window, it will come nearly two full decades after the 2007 debut of the previous film. Highlander film. This hiatus may have allowed franchise room nostalgia to growbut it could also mean that overall interest in the franchise has waned and that any further delays could pose increasingly greater challenges.
