Henry Cavill confirmed a major breakthrough in his next War Hammer 40,000 adaptation for Prime Video in a major development update for the franchise. Cavill's next film War Hammer the adaptation will bring the world of the tabletop game to life on the small screen, with the Amazon-owned streaming service being the home for all future content from the series. The project was first announced in December 2022, with a Games Workshop financial report in July 2024 indicating that Amazon had until December of this year to decide on the “creative guidelines“to retain the rights to the series.
Now, Cavill took to Instagram, confirming that he, Games Workshop and Amazon have decided as their War Hammer 40,000 adaptation will begin. Posting a photo of himself at The Little Shop in New Jersey, where he bought his first War Hammer models, the creative joked that the starting point for the adaptation has already been decided and that more news would arrive soon about where the story will begin.
