More than two years after the renewal, Netflix has unveiled the trailer for Hellbound Season 2 and confirmed that new episodes will be released on Friday, October 25.
The announcement trailer doesn’t reveal too much, but it does highlight the resurrection of New True Chairman Young Jinsu (Kim Sung-cheol, who replaces Yoo Ah-in). He’s not the only one brought back, as Park Jungja (Kim Shin-rok) is also back. Their revivals serve as a preview for new episodes of the horror thriller, which will have an expanded cast and answers to the cliffhangers of the adaptation.

The announcement trailer clarifies some of the rules of the series. Being that he was the first chairman of the New Truth, Young received a prophecy. The prophecy, which is told in the trailer, tells Jung when he would be condemned to hell. He chose to deal with his doomed fate in secret, with the trailer showing that Jung was resurrected in the same place where he was once condemned.

Although not much is known about how Hellbound will address the season 1 ending, in which a character is saved from being dragged to Hell, it has been confirmed that the upcoming episodes will Put a spotlight on lawyer Min Hyejin (Kim Hyun-joo) of Sodo, The New Truth and the Arrowheads. All three get mixed up, adding to the chaos of what is to come.

Yes it was Dropped from the horror series after being investigated for drug use. While it’s always hard to get ahead of recasting the show’s protagonist, the adaptation’s fantastical elements allow for a relatively smooth transition.
