Scarlet Witch’s Sokovian Lullaby explained
Wanda sings for her twins in Wandavision
in windovision, Wanda sings a lullaby to her sons in the made-up language Sokovish. It’s a sweet moment she shares with Monica Rambeau, and allows the intricacies of Scarlet Witch’s motherhood to be briefly shown. As Billy and Tommy lie in the crib, Wanda sings them a sweet and soft song. While the story details continue to evolve, it’s worth noting that this wasn’t originally conceived as any meaningful plot detail, although some details do align perfectly.
Talk to Wonder, WandaVision Creator and Agatha all along Showrunner Jack Schaefer previously said that the lullaby is “Not about the larger mystery of the show.” It was influenced by a song in her prenatal fitness class, and parts of the song refer to Schaeffer’s relationship with her own child. Still, the details evolve over time, and while this may have been the case when the song was first used, it may not be anymore.
Theory: Scarlet Witch cast a protective spell on her sons
The spell would keep them protected until strong enough to look after themselves
A new theory from a user on X suggests that the song itself may have important protective properties. After the magic of music shown in the last episode of Agatha all along, It makes sense that the song in WandaVision Can be used as a protective spell. Putting the spell on her twins as they were babies could result in them being protected and could only be broken when the twins had grown into their power.
Although only a theory, something like this would make sense in the universe. Marvel has clearly set itself a Young Avengers Figure, and Wiccan and Speed are two likely candidates for the team, Even though both were erased from the MCU. It seems likely that some kind of spell or magic is at work and would allow one or both of the two characters to return to the MCU at some point. Agatha all along It is likely to provide much of the setup to make this happen.
The protective spell of Scarlet Witch would answer huge Agatha mysteries
The spell can explain the sigil on Tin
Speculation about Joe Locke’s teen character has been rampant, with many believing he could be one of Wanda’s children. The theory is aligned with this, which would see that one of Wanda’s kids are protected, but also unable to reveal dangerous details about themselves. After Agatha’s treatment of the twins in WandaVisionIt would make sense that the seal on Tin’s mouth could keep him from revealing his identity to her Or to any of the other witches in the series.
Agatha all along has added a number of mysteries to the MCU, including the status of the Scarlet Witch’s kids. Seeing the importance of Wanda’s children to her, and her taking the effort to leave a protective spell on them, could make for effective and emotional scenes in the upcoming series. Whether this is revealed by Tin being Wanda’s child or not, this theory suggests that Wanda’s children may still be alive somewhere, and would likely return to the MCU in the near future.
