HBO's Most Exciting Game of Thrones Spinoff Is the Targaryen Prequel Story We Really Need

There are several Game of Thrones spinoffs on the horizon, but the most exciting of HBO's slate will tell the Targaryen prequel story we really need. Dragon House is already investigating the history of the Targaryen family, depicting the Dance of Dragons described in the book by George RR Martin Fire and Blood. THE Game of Thrones The prequel is expanding on the civil war that weakened the Targaryen dynasty and killed many of its dragons. This makes it an ideal continuation to Daenerys' story in Game of Thrones.

However, because Dragon House is about two Targaryen factions rivaling for the Iron Throne, it has a lot in common with Game of Thrones. This makes it less exciting than some of HBO's other shows. Game of Thrones spinoff plans as it doesn't seem like the latest way to expand Martin's world. Fortunately, new additions to the franchise will explore time periods further away from Game of Thrones and stories that seem very different from him. AND one will cover the most interesting part of Targaryen history from Martin's books: Aegon's Conquest.

Aegon's Conquest Is The Most Exciting Game Of Thrones Spinoff Series To Come

Aegon the Conqueror is a fascinating figure in the A Song of Ice and Fire universeand HBO Aegon's Conquest spinoff will explore the character in more depth. He will show viewers how he claimed Westeros for House Targaryen, delving deeper into the A Song of Ice and Fire prophecy in the process. It could also include his reign, which initially aroused bitterness among the Great Houses of Westeros but later led to peace. It served as the basis for many world-building elements and loyalties seen in Game of Thrones, which means there's room to make crucial connections.

A spinoff covering Aegon's Conquest has a lot of potential, as it's similar enough to Game of Thrones and Dragon House to capture what works in both programs.

A spinoff covering Aegon's Conquest has a lot of potential, as it's similar enough to Game of Thrones and Dragon House to capture what works in both shows: the political maneuvering, big battle sequences, and dragons. However, as the series would be set 300 years before the original series, would offer a different representation of Westeros. Furthermore, I would spend time in places that do not receive enough attention HE PICKED UP, like Dorne and the Iron Islands. And it would tell a Targaryen narrative with a better outcome than HE PICKED UP or WARM offer.

Why Aegon's Conquest Is the Targaryen Prequel Story We Really Need

Aegon's Conquest will tell the Targaryen story we really need: the one responsible for the A Song of Ice and Fire prophecy that could connect everything that happens over the next 300 years. Game of Thrones doesn't delve into the Long Night or the Prince Who Was Promised as much as it should, and although Dragon House is addressing these things, it's not necessarily the right prequel to do so. Aegon is the one who dreams of the A Song of Ice and Fire prophecy and initially tries to bring the Seven Kingdoms together to prepare for what is to come.

Aegon's Conquest adds much-needed context to everything that unfolds in both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, and seeing it on screen could answer some important questions about the events of both shows. Plus, it would be nice to see a successful Targaryen conquest, especially after Daenerys' efforts to take the Seven Kingdoms ended so badly. Dragon House also sees House Targaryen in a downward spiral, but Aegon's Conquest could highlight what made the Targaryens so fearsome and powerful.
