Although it was known that these couples had separated, the reason was not revealed. In the first season, Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi, Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods, and Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren were the remaining couples. Some of them were spotted filming in January 2023, a few months before the show's premiere.
The press release, according to Starcasm, talked about five 90 Day Fiance couples who had reached their breaking point and were attending a couples retreat to determine if they could heal old wounds. They would actively navigate issues of trust, sex, jealousy, anger, and intimacy with the help of a team of professionals. Explosive group therapy, intense couples sessions, past life regressions, exclusive activities on and off the resortand much more happens. At the end, a commitment ceremony was held for the couples to decide whether to stay together.
