Notice! Spoilers for DC vs. Vampires: World War V #5!While Harley Quinn is marketed as having no power, I know this is not true. There's no denying how popular Harley Quinn has become. Many call her Marvel's Deadpool, which is a more accurate description than many think, especially considering Deadpool's healing factor. As much as DC wants to deny it, Harley Quinn has an incredible superpower that every writer seems to use: plot armor.
The whole world of D.C. vs. Vampires fell into disarray when the vampire threat took over the world. Tons of heroes were slaughtered and even more were turned into blood-drinking sadists. One of the many revelations D.C. vs. Vampires: World War V #5 by Matthew Rosenberg and Otto Schmidt is that Harley Quinn is somehow still alive despite recently falling into a pool of his own blood.
Harley Quinn has the only cure for vampirism in her blood. So why vampiric forces would keep her alive is something fans don't currently know.
Harley Quinn survives death in D.C. vs. VampiresAnd I think she's secretly immortal
D.C. vs. Vampires: World War V #5 by Matthew Rosenberg, Otto Schmidt, Pierluigi Casolino and Tom Napolitano
Additionally, Harley Quinn was last seen when Nightwing, the previous Vampire King, was drinking her blood. She was then left on the floor, in a pool of her own blood, and yet she is apparently fine. I firmly believe that this is just another example of Harley Quinn's incredible superpower it always gets her out of trouble, whether it's a nameless healing factor or regular old armor.
The conquest of the world by vampires in D.C. vs. Vampires it was brutal and fast, and many incredibly skilled characters didn't survive. Half of the Bat-Family was slaughtered, including Batman. Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, and even Superman have all been turned into vampires. It seemed really no one was safe from this vampire infection, and the world was quickly dominated by these dark forces. Since then, no one has been safe. John Stewart and Kyle Rayner return from a deep space mission, only to be immediately slaughtered by Wonder Woman and other vampiric forces.
Even Batman, who prides himself on being prepared for anything and surviving no matter what, was killed by vampiric forces. Any humans still alive are in hiding, using magic or technology to avoid the attention of the vampiric threat – except Harley Quinn. Despite the fact that Harley Quinn had her neck drained of blood and was left in a pool of her own blood, and that she posed a great threat to vampires, she was kept alive. She's chained, of course, but I can't help but notice it In a world where Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman have died or been turned, Harley Quinn is still alive.
Harley Quinn was lying in a pool of her own blood and still survived
'Getting better' should be your superpower
This world also isn't the only apocalyptic universe where Harley magically survives. I have noticed over the years that no matter how bad things get in the universe, Harley Quinn always seems to make it out. In the Dark Multiverse, there was a universe where Batman went crazy and became the Batman Who Laughs. It's one of the darkest universes DC has ever explored, but Harley Quinn isn't mentioned in it.
I always found it strange that in a story that focuses on the death of the Joker and the rise of a new one, where Batman kills the Bat-Family and all of Earth's heroes, Harley Quinn is never mentioned. I think she would have some ideas about this new Joker, but it was never mentioned. If Harley Quinn is part of this dark universe, she is either unimportant or so important that she has survived even the darkest twists and turns, waiting for her chance to be the star.
Harley Quinn has the strongest superpower in DC Comics, including alternate universes
Even a zombie Superman can't beat Harley's plot armor
There in DCcessed universe, a techno-organic virus is released on Earth. Anyone who is bitten or sees infected technology is immediately transformed into a homicidal, anti-living “zombie.” In this dark world, several heroes are unable to avoid this horrible virus. Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Superman, Green Lantern and hundreds of others end up infected and most of them lose their lives.
I think it's very hard to deny that Harley Quinn has the incredible superpower of plot armor.
But Harley Quinn is completely fine. Not only does she avoid the initial infection that claimed six hundred million lives instantly, but she also stays behind on Earth with the anti-living people after the human survivors leave for space. Even though this choice is ridiculously dangerous, it's completely fine (mainly because of Poison Ivy).
Let's not forget that Harley Quinn is incredibly popular. She's starred in three films and has her own animated TV show, which has five seasons, and has had her own solo comic on and off for over thirty years. Harley's popularity is undeniable and she has a huge fan base, including many creators who undeniably love her. While DC has always marketed Harley as a powerless character, I think it's very hard to deny that Harley Quinn has the incredible superpower of plot armor.
