Ben Stiller will reprise his original role in Happy Gilmore 2. The film is a belated sequel to the 1996 sports comedy starring Adam Sandler as a golfer with anger issues. The next Happy Gilmore 2which is being directed by Kyle Newacheck, is set to feature the return of Sandler in the title role alongside Christopher McDonald as golf pro Shooter McGavin and Julie Bowen as public relations director (and Gilmore’s love interest) Virginia Venit, with a I eye it debuting on Netflix in March 2025.
New photos from the set of Happy Gilmore 2which can be seen in NJ.comshow a scene being filmed at Roosevelt Elementary School in Kearny, New Jersey. A new image sees Ben Stiller alongside his stunt double Greg Fitzpatrickwith both dressed as Stiller’s original character, Hal L., who was an aggressive orderly who runs the nursing home where Gilmore’s grandmother lives with an iron fist, using it as a quilt factory. The costume resurrects Hal’s signature mustache and badge, although his orderly uniform has been swapped for a blue button-down shirt with vest.
