After the death of Lady Maeda, Seung-jo looks to take on the role as Gyeongseong creatures next big villain. His apathetic nature makes him a danger to the citizens of Seoul, and perhaps even the world. Along with this, Seung-jo can further present an interesting discussion about humanity. As a K-drama set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, Gyeongseong creature Has regularly presented discussions about humanity and whether one life is worth more than the other. Raised as a monster, Seung-jo sets a different point of view because he does not consider himself human.

The show has many plotlines, but one of the most significant revolves around Gyeongseong creatures main characters, Jang Tae-sang and Yoon Chae-ok. The duo fell head over heels for each other in the first season of the K-drama, only to be separated as Chae-ok tragically dies at the hands of her mother, the monster. Their unfortunate fate seems to repeat itself in season 2. Much like Tae-sang in the first half of season 2, Chae-ok seems to have some small flashes of her former life. She wears the bracelet that Ta-sang gave her in season 1 and seems to have some recognition from Ta-sang after a chance meeting in the street. However, it is unclear to what extent Chae-ok knows about her old life, mainly because Tae-sang seems to stay away from her. If she regains them, the duo will finally be able to avenge the victims of the past with a more satisfying conclusion than season 2. Despite this, Gyeongseong creature‘s future remains uncertain, but hopefully not for long after all the story clues.
