While the chart-topping singer is still on the road until summer 2025, Netflix's concert film Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour finally arrives on streaming on October 29, 2024. After the success of his debut album SourOlivia Rodrigo released her second album Stomach in September 2023, which includes hits like “Vampire,” “Bad Idea Right?” In February, Rodrigo embarked on a six-stage world tour, more than 100 shows and 18 months to celebrate the album, which now continues the success of concert films such as Taylor Swift's 2023. Eras Tour film to bring home the successful Guts World Tour concert series.

THE Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour concert film lasts one hour and 44 minuteswith the filmed shows being their performances on August 20 and 21, 2024 at Los Angeles' Intuit Dome. The project is also directed by James Merryman, who has worked on concert films such as Shakira in concert: El Dorado World Tour and 2023 Renaissance: a Beyoncé film. As it helps wrap up Netflix's new releases in October 2024, the Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour the film's Oct. 29 premiere finally allows the rest of the world to experience its sold-out Los Angeles shows from this year.

In 2022, Rodrigo released a short concert film titled sour dancea 27-minute production featuring songs from his chart-topping album Sour. The singer-songwriter later starred in the 2022 film Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U documentary about the making of Sourwhich was released on Disney+, the streaming service in which she has already starred in the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. With the launch of Netflix Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World TourRodrigo now broadcasts his first full-length filmed concert film to a sold-out crowd.

Part of the difference is that Disney+ acquired the streaming rights The Tour of the Ages film after having already debuted in theaters, with Swift herself producing the film and working directly with distributors.
