Grand Theft Auto 6 May just be confirmed for PC via an anticheat update to GTA online. This update celebrates the 11-year anniversary of GTA 5 and was implemented to reduce the widespread cheating in the game. As an unintended consequence, the update may have also confirmed that GTA 6 Will come to PC, at least eventually.
The accidental leak was spotted by a Reddit User following a GTA online Update that mandated BattlEye. A screenshot of the directory shows “America” listed as one of the games.
“Project America” was the alleged codename for GTA 6 And its appearance on the PC update appears to give credence to the possibility that the developer Rockstar Games is preparing for a PC release of the upcoming GTA Game. GTA 5 Notably, it took over a year to come to PC after its initial console release on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2013.

It would break a decades-long porting tradition
The first Grand Theft Auto Game ever published was created for the PC, while the second released on PC first and then ported to the PlayStation the following year. Since then, each new GTA Game has shed its PC origins and come out exclusively for consoles at launch.
Each entry has taken more and more to be ported to PC over the 25 years since GTA 2‘s Release. GTA 3 Coming to PC eight months after it was released on consoles, GTA 4 Took seven months, and GTA 5 Took over a year. If the next game in the franchise follows the same pattern, then Fans would not expect GTA 6 To arrive on PC by at least 2027 or 2028.
