GRRM confirms release date for new epic fantasy adaptation starring Dave Bautista and Milla Jovovich

George R. R. Martin has confirmed the release date for the film adaptation of one of his early fantasy stories, starring Dave Bautista and Milla Jovovich. Anderson (Resident Evil series) and was adapted for film by Anderson and Constantin Werner. In lost lands was one of Martin’s first fantasy works and was part of his Amazon II anthology. The story follows Gray Alys (Jovovich), a witch sent on a dangerous mission by a queen who is desperate to find happiness in love. Accompanied by Boyce (Bautista), Alys must navigate a hostile world filled with mythical creatures and supernatural threats.

On his blog, “Not a Blog”, Martin announced the release date for In lost lands will be on February 28, 2025and encouraged his audience to check out the film, which he described as “dark, twisted and atmospheric, and a lot of fun.” He also shared his previous hopes of writing a series of stories centering on Gray Alys, saying that although he never had time to write the second story, he would be open to writing the sequel if the film”does well enough.”
