With the release of the Mythical Island Booster Pack in Pokémon TCG Pocketplayers now have more options about what to include in their decks and one of those options is a new version of Golem. This version of Golem is more consistent than the previous one, and There's no way to harm yourself this time. This will likely make players eager to give this Fighting-type deck another try and use it to great success in player matches.
There were already great Fighting-type cards, like Marowak ex, in Pokémon TCG Pocketbut the options were quite limited. A new booster pack means these options have grown, and it's good to see the game evolving and changing just like the Pokémon within it. The new Golem deck will utilize the Golem's rather robust HP and power to get big attacks with some cards to help them get the energy they need to do so.

Deck suggestions, substitutions, and other cards to consider
The best version of a deck can be quite subjective, depending on your own goals and how you intend to play. However, if you want to make a great Golem deck, there are several things you should keep in mind. The game itself provides an example of how good a Golem deck can be in solo games. While it's a good base to start with, you should always do some experimentation to see what works best for you.
Although the game primarily uses cards from the Mythic Island Expansion, you should consider all cards when building this deck. There are some cards that have versions in both sets in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Additionally, the hardest part of this deck is preparing the Golem to playso you'll want to find a good way to stop. The current list of suggested decks for the best Golem deck is as follows:

Many of these cards are quite new, so players may not have all of them yet. If you're still waiting to pull some of these cards, you might consider some of the following replacements:
- Hitmanlee #154
- Mankey #141
- Sandshrew/Sandslash #137/138
- Diglett/Dugtrio #139/140
Additionally, Druddigon, while a great Pokémon for buying time, will mess with your deck's energy reserves. Multi-Energy decks can feel incredibly inconsistent in this gameas it is much more difficult to control than in the physical TCG. This version of Golem needs 3 combat energy and only 1 neutral energypotentially making it even more difficult to prepare the Golem to attack.
Graveler also has a Genetic Apex version and a Mythical Island versionand unlike Golem, either version tends to work well in practice. Choose what you have or include one of each if you don't yet know which you prefer.
Eliminating Druddigon will also allow you to eliminate Leaf, both can be replaced with a different high HP Pokémon or a different support card this can help you synergize the deck better. Experiment with and without Druddigon to see which works best for you overall and if there's a better way to save time.
Best strategy to win with a Golem deck
Getting the energy you need to fight
As you can probably see, There are no ex Pokémon in this deck, allowing you to lose some on the way to freeing the Golem. Golem is one of the new main cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket due to its strong moves and ability to lower your opponent's attack values. Many of these Pokémon are capable of taking a few hits, although that job would ideally fall to Druddigon. You don't want to put any energy into Druddigon, just put them in the Active Spot and let them whittle down your opponent's Pokémon while you build the Golem.
This works in part because Druddigon has no Dragon-type weaknessmaking it difficult for the opponent to eliminate them. However, as stated, it can also weaken the amount of energy you have. That's where Brock comes in, as he allows you to put Energy into the Golem without spending anything else. Getting Druddingon out of the Active Spot will require Leaf if you don't have any energy to spare, but you might end up with extra dragon energy that can't go anywhere else anyway.
You will be vulnerable against Grass-type decksthen you will need to be careful if you encounter one. You hope to get the evolutions in as quickly as possible so you can get to the Golem and start using Brock to power them up. The main objective is to buy time until the Golem is ready to take hits and hit back hard, allowing you to conquer your opponents in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
