He's been away from the Marvel Universe for a while now, but Godzilla is returning next year for a decades-long crossover event. In 2025, the King of the Monsters returns for a series of one-shots that will reunite him with some of Marvel Comics' biggest icons.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Comics will release Godzilla vs Marvela six-issue crossover series that will unite the iconic kaiju with characters like Spider-Man, Thor and Hulk. These one-shots will take place in different time periods, with the first one seeing him cross paths with Marvel's First Family, the Fantastic Four.
Writer Ryan North and artist John Romita Jr. will create the first issue, which sees Godzilla's archenemy King Ghidorah become Galactus' new herald and gain the Power Cosmic. To take down Ghidorah, Godzilla is teaming up with Galacus' best-known herald, the Silver Surfer.

Godzilla's Marvel Adventures Begin with the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer
Nearly fifty years ago, Godzilla had a series set in the Marvel Universe (Godzilla, King of the Monsters) that lasted two years and saw the Avengers face off against the monster. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after 24 issues, and due to the fact that Marvel Comics did not own the Godzilla license, the series was all but forgotten. However, Godzilla's presence in comics only increased over time. Not only does he have numerous series at IDW with more on the way, but the MonsterVerse incarnation crossed over with DC earlier this year in Justice League x Godzilla x Kong.
