Chad Powers is an upcoming Hulu TV show starring Powell as Russ Holliday. Russ, a college football quarterback, finds himself in hot water and decides to pretend to play for a struggling Southern football team, named, "Chad Powers." Powell's character acts as their savior, but there is only so far one lie can go. The series is Based on the Chad Powers character in Eli Manning's EPSN+ docuseries Ali's places. Manning will also be an executive producer on Chad PowersAlong with his brother, Peyton Manning, watching over as Powell dives into the world of football.

Some may not know this, however Glen Powell previously auditioned not once, but twice for Friday Night Lights and closed both times. The sports drama aired from 2006 to 2011 and is considered by some to be one of the best television shows ever made. So, missing out on staring at Friday Night Lights Would undoubtedly be a bummer. However, with Chad Powers (a series revolving around football) coming up, maybe Powell can recover from what he lost. The new show will likely lean more into comedy than Friday Night Lights Did, but Powell will finally get to play football.
