Gladiator II continues to climb the charts of the highest-grossing films of 2024 at the domestic box office. The long-awaited sequel reveals what happens to Lucius Verus (Paul Mescal) in the years after the events of the original film. Gladiator II had its national premiere on November 22, the same day as Evil. Although Evilbox office surpassed Gladiator II During its opening weekend, the Ridley Scott-directed sequel still performed well at the box office.
According to The Numbers, Gladiator II is now the 14th highest-grossing film at the domestic box office in 2024. With US$146.6 million, Gladiator IIThe national box office surpassed that of Sony Venom: The Last Dance and Paramount A peaceful place: first day to become one of the 15 highest-grossing films of the year. Its box office performance was overshadowed

Our opinion on Gladiator II's box office
It has legs at the box office
If Gladiator II was released at a different point in 2024, rather than at the same time as Evil and Moana 2its box office numbers would likely receive more attention. All three films deserve credit for the record-breaking Thanksgiving 2024 box office and they are all proving to have legs at the box office also. The more Gladiator II rises on the domestic charts, the more likely you are to see Gladiator III happens, and we hope the gap between films is less than 24 years this time.
