Gilmore Girls Adam Brody responds to whether Dave Rygalsky deserves the best boyfriend title

Gilmore Girls Alum Adam Brody responds candidly to whether his character, Dave Rygalsky, deserves the title of best boyfriend. Brody is currently viral and stealing hearts against Kristen Bell In the Netflix romantic comedy series Nobody wants that Like Rabbi Noah Ruklov. It is a role that echoes the actor’s most famous performance as The OCSeth Cohen. But even more recently, comparisons have been drawn to the relatively minor Gilmore Girls Dave Rygalski’s character and his brief relationship with Keiko Agena’s Lane Kim.

In an “Ask Me Anything” video for ELLEBrody and Belle turned to different topics, and Brody posed a question of his own Nobody wants that Co-lead about whether Dave deserves the best boyfriend title on Gilmore Girls. Despite Dave’s sterling reputation, Brody says the character hasn’t been a part of the series long enough to earn the best boyfriend title. In the quote below, Brody also suggests that Dave may have been “Love bombing“Lane, which is a term for manipulating someone in a relationship.

“Does he deserve the perfect boyfriend title? No, he hasn’t been that long. We don’t know how he’ll be in the long run. He might love bombing you.”

Brody appeared in nine episodes of Gilmore GirlsAll in the third season of the show. Dave was ultimately written out, with the character leaving Stars Hollow for California. It’s a fitting send off since Brody left the WB drama to play Seth On The OCWhich is set in the sunny beaches of Orange County. Still, even in his relatively short stint on the series, Dave is sweet and shares plenty of gentle scenes with Lane.

Although it had been almost two decades since they shared the screen, the easy chemistry that made Dave and Lane fun to watch was on display. He’s probably right, but…

Brody has always had a critical eye towards his roles, calling Seth out for his selfish cowardice on more than one occasion. The actor tends to be right. He is also probably correct that if Dave hung around too long Gilmore GirlsHe would probably be just as flawed as Dean, Jess and Logan are with Rory. In time and in past interviews, The OC Alam is less likely to acknowledge that he’s a big part of what makes his characters so endearing and enduring.
