Gigantamax Charizard is a Fire/Flying-type Pokémon, which means is vulnerable to Rock, Electric and Water type attacks. Rock-type attacks are especially effective against Gigantamax Charizard, but there are currently no Dynamax Pokémon capable of using them, so Water-type attacks will be your best option here.

On the other hand, Gigantamax Charizard is Resistant to Bug, Fairy, Grass, Fighting, Fire, Ground and Steel attacksso avoid using Pokémon or attacks of this type, as they will not do much damage.

Remember, you can only use Dynamax Pokémon or Gigantamax Pokémon to compete in Gigantamax Charizard Raids, so your options are limited to those that have already debuted in Pokemon GO. This number is quite small, meaning there are only a few options that have a chance of taking down the Gigantamax Charizard.

Blastoise and Inteleon appearing on the Pokémon GO map

The best counters for Gigantamax Charizard are Dynamax Inteleon and Dynamax Blastoise. These are the only Dynamax-capable Pokémon that can target Gigantamax Charizard’s weaknesses with their Fast Attacks and Charged Attacks. Dynamax Inteleon should run Water Gun and Surf, while Dynamax Blastoise should run Water Gun and Hydro Cannon.

It’s difficult to recommend any other Pokémon for your team, as Dynamax Inteleon and Dynamax Blastoise are the only really great counters for Gigantamax Charizard. Outside of these two, it’s probably best to just focus on your most powerful Dynamax-capable Pokémon, those that are fully evolved and have a high CP level. Gengar Dynamax it can be a good option, as it does not have any weak points that can be exploited by Gigantamax Charizard.
