Warning: SPOILERS for Ghosts season 4
The fourth season of Ghosts is a big installment in the CBS supernatural sitcom. Node Ghosts In the Season 4 premiere, Isaac Higgintoot (Brandon Scott Jones) is missing at the hands of Patience (Mary Holland), a Puritan ghost who is trapped wandering the earth after the Revolutionary War soldier sneezed and let go of his hand over a century ago. . Patience finds her way through the dirt Ghosts Season 3 and comes in search of revenge. Isaac also gets over his wasted engagement to Nigel Chessum (John Hartman) after leaving his bride at the altar in Ghosts season 3 finale.
Ghosts season 4, episode 2 debuted Sam’s father, Frank (Dean Norris), and Isaac begins to reckon with his past mistakes, especially the one he transgressed with Patience and Nigel. The Puritan ghost has mellowed to some extent, but still, his antics, like subjecting Sam (Rose McIver) to a witch trial in Ghosts season 4, episode 3 has captivated much of the season so far. His authoritarian presence in the house overshadowed other characters, including a new spirit of Ghosts 3rd season whose story has unexplored potential and needs to continue sooner or later.
Ghosts season 4 still doesn’t feature Carol
Carol Dies and Becomes a Spirit in Ghosts Season 3
Ghosts Season 4 completely ignored Carol Martino (Caroline Aaron), Pete’s widow. Carol debuted in Ghosts season 1 when Pete’s family arrives at the Woodstone B&B at Sam’s request. The episode expands on Pete’s backstory, with Carol revealing that she had an affair with Pete’s best friend Jerry before her husband’s death. Pete is devastated to hear the truth, as he remained loyal to his wife in the afterlife. Despite her forgiveness, Carol’s first appearance was just the beginning. She returned when her daughter was married at Woodstone in Ghosts Season 2 and was a recurring character in Season 3.
In Ghosts In season three, Sam and Jay accidentally invite Carol to their Halloween party. Carol dies in the kitchen after choking on a donut hole and becomes a permanent resident of Woodstone B&B. Carol forms a close relationship with other ghosts, which includes sleeping with Thor (Devan Chandler Long) and Nancy (Betsy Sodaro) and becoming engaged to Baxter in Ghosts season 3 finale. Still, Season 4 ignored Carol entirely. Despite moving in with Baxter, Carol is nowhere to be found in the shed when this is shown at the end of Ghosts Season 4, Episode 2.

How Carol’s Return Could Make Ghosts Season 4 Better
Carol is an untapped well of story potential
Carol must return, and her story with Pete could make Ghosts the story of season 4 even better. Pete’s widow would marry British ghost Baxter at the end of season 3taking over the location of Isaac and Nigel’s wedding, and we still don’t know how that happened. After she dies, Carol hangs around. She could stay with Baxter or break that commitment, as the partnership came together quickly. Although Pete appears to have gotten over his wife’s infidelity in Ghosts season 3, having her around would undoubtedly affect Pete, and Ghosts Season 4 needs to explore this.
It seems natural for Pete to struggle with the possibility of leaving Woodstone, as his ex-wife is tied to the estate.
Pete lives with his new ghost power, leaving the property since Ghosts Season 3, which allows him to travel with his daughter’s family on vacation, despite being invisible to them. It seems natural that Pete would struggle with the possibility of leaving Woodstone for longer periods of time, as his ex-wife is tied to the property. Pete has known Carol longer than the other ghoststhen your desire to distance yourself could overcome your desire to be with others. Perhaps reconciling with his ex-wife could allow Carol to move on, giving her a proper send-off rather than casting her aside.
