Ghosts Season 4 Episode 4 Missing Spirit Makes Season 3’s Worst Multi-Episode Plot Even Worse

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Ghosts, season 4, episode 4, “The Work Retreat”

Although Ghosts Season 4 can’t keep all of its main characters all the way through, it’s still a shame to see the ride waste a character who was already underused in Season 3. Ghosts are a wild group of spirits, and the undead inhabitants of Woodstone Manor cause chaos for Sam and Jay on a weekly basis. Ghosts Season 4’s cast of characters introduced Mary Holland’s Puritan Patience to the show’s growing lineup, and her powers proved even more intense than most previous revelations about the mansion’s ghosts.

Patience could make walls bleed human blood, a terrifying ability that led her to nearly ruin Sam’s reunion with his estranged father, Frank. Although Ghosts New Season 4 character Patience returned to “The Dirt” at the end of Episode 3, “Halloween IV: The Witch,” and she still dominated the action of the first three Season 4 outings. As such, Thor, Trevor, Flower, Hetty, Sass, Alberta, and the rest of the ghosts didn’t receive as much focus as usual. Isaac remained central, but episode 4, “The Work Retreat,” only made up for some of the underused characters mentioned above.

Flower is Missing in Ghosts Season 4 Episode 4

Flower spent much of season three trapped under the mansion

Even though she was apparently killed off in Season 3, Flower’s absence from “The Work Retreat” proves that Ghosts Season 4 still doesn’t know what to do with it. Flower doesn’t play a role in “The Work Retreat,” where Isaac tries out a new look with Alberta’s help, Pete tries to stop Hetty, Sass, and Thor from spreading rumors about him, and Trevor tries to impress his coworkers. with Jay’s help. Flower’s absence is doubly regrettable after she was missing for much of Season 3. The ghosts even held a funeral for her, thinking she had been “Sucked”to the afterlife.

To make matters worse, minor supporting stars like Nancy and Judy appeared in the episode’s complex story.

Flower isn’t gone for good, but “The Work Retreat” proves that she’s still not a high priority for the show. Ghosts Season 4 complicated Nigel and Isaac’s breakup by revealing that Pete’s seemingly perfect girlfriend wasn’t so ideal after all, and the episode brought back Thor’s son Bjorn for a brief cameo. However, although Flower is one of the series’ main ghosts, she was not seen in an episode that incorporated all of the series’ main ghosts. To make matters worse, minor supporting stars like Nancy and Judy appeared in the episode’s complex story.

Ghosts still hasn’t made up for Flower’s lost time in season three

Isaac and Pete’s stories took up much of the focus of seasons 3 and 4

Fortunately, there is still time to Ghosts Season 4 to fix Flower’s diminished role. According to TV linethe ride will explore Sass’ history and Jay will gain the ability to see ghosts in future episodes. However, that still leaves a lot of screen time for the Flowers subplot in Season 4. Ghosts season 4 should address Hetty’s powers and Patience’s ominous mention of “The others,” but Flower should be the show’s top priority. After Ghosts Season 3 almost abandoned her permanently, Season 4 should highlight Flower’s pivotal role in maintaining the balance between the big personalities of the Woodstone mansion.
