Ghosts Creators Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond teamed up with Netflix to develop in Case of EmergencyA new animated series inspired by other adult-oriented series. The duo developed the hit BBC comedy Ghosts which saw a couple inherit a lost country home populated by various ghosts who passed on the land which was later adapted by CBS. Along with creating the show, Rickard and Willbond also starred in the series, with Rickard portraying Sir Humphrey Bone and Robin the Caveman, and Willbond playing the Captain.
With the UK version of Ghosts Having wrapped up in 2023, Term Reports that Rickard and Willbond will work with Netflix on their next project. in Case of Emergency Centers on a British hospital, and the many cases and misadventures that the workshop may face. Although details are few, it is reported that it is inspired by mature animated comedies such as Family guy. Rickard and Willbond will work alongside Big Talk Studios, while Blue Zoo Animation will animate the show. Although no cast has been confirmed, the series will feature vocal performances from stars of the British comedy community.
