A new Genshin Impact The 5.3 leak regarding the Fatui Harbingers provided a disappointing update for players eagerly awaiting the release of the playable version of Capitano, but there may still be a silver lining for another character from the Snezhnaya region. Capitano, the first of the eleven Fatui heralds, played a vital role in Natlan's story arc for HoYoverse's action RPG. The antagonistic figure who previously opposed the Archon Pyro now helped the Natlanes defend themselves from the Abyss's incursion, even siding with Mavuika in Genshin Impact.
Capitano has become an interesting figure in the game with recent revelations about the character's origins and some of his motivations. As a Fatui Harbinger who is not a complete villain and with the various leaks that have already occurred, Capitano is expected to become a playable character, just like Arlecchino, Wanderer and Childe before him. There were leaks talking about Capitano's release in a Genshin Impact Natlan's patch, but now there have been developments that indicate it may not arrive as soon as desired by the community.
Leaks say no Fatui Harbingers will be released in Genshin Impact before Snezhnaya
A contradictory leak says Columbina could arrive in a version 5.X patch
While there were already rumors that Capitano's launch would be delayed, it appears that the new leaks suggest something more ominous. According to information provided by the leaker known as Tio 111 and shared by HXG, there will be no new playable Harbinger characters in Natlan's patches – that is, before version 6.0. The leak was shared in a post flagged as “Suspect” about Reddit. Furthermore, the post highlights that HXG shared a follow-up to the leak, providing more information about the future of the Genshin Impact.
As seen in the pinned comment on the Reddit post, there may be contradictory information. According to the leak, if Columbina appears in Archon Quests in version 5.3, she could become a playable character during Natlan's patches – which conflicts with the idea that no Harbinger would become playable in the 5.X updates. As such, even if Capitano doesn't become playable in the near future, there's still a chance players will have access to Columbina in Genshin Impactupcoming patches, something that had already been suggested by previous leaks.
Previous leaks have suggested that Capitano's release in Genshin Impact has been canceled
Rumors had it that Capitano was replaced by Columbina
These previous leaks said that Capitano's release as a playable character had been canceled entirely and that the long-awaited release of Fatui Harbinger would be replaced by Columbina. These leaks date back to August and the mentions that Columbina would become playable before version 6.0 seem to be in line with rumors that were circulating a few months ago.. Even so, his release may take several months to occur. So far, no details about Columbina as a playable character have been revealed in Genshin Impact leaks.
If Arlecchino's release as a playable character is anything to go by, the Knave became playable in Version 4.6 after his release as an NPC in Version 4.1. Its release was directly linked to new content in Fontaine and, if the supposed Columbina launch is connected to the Natlan region, the next Harbinger launch could be set for version 5.6also, when HoYoverse should revisit and expand Pyro Nation one last time before setting the stage for the release of Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact in 2025.
Other leaks shared for the future of Genshin Impact
New releases are mentioned in rumors
In addition to information about the Fatui Harbingers and their possible releases as playable units, HXG also highlighted other leaks shared by Tio 111. The first is that the protagonist of the 2025 Lantern Rite Festival should be Hu Tao. They also claim that there will be a new skin for Hu Tao in Genshin Impact 5.3, which coincides with another series of leaks pointing to the cosmetic's launch. The first leaks about the outfit mentioned that it would fit Yelan, but a series of more consistent leaks said that it would actually be for the character Pyro.
Leaks also say that Iansã and the supposed Ifa will be 4-star units, while a new 5-star female character from the Collective of Plenty will be introduced in an upcoming tribe quest – and that she has not yet appeared in any of the Archon Missions in Natlan. Finally, the leaker has already stated that a new 5-star female character will be released in version 5.4. It is unknown who they are referring to, but it could be the supposed Inazuma character in Genshin Impact.
For now, all of these leaks should be considered with extreme caution. Not only do they appear incomplete, they may be incorrect. Furthermore, even if correct, the leaked information may still be subject to internal changes by HoYoverse over the course of future updates. Still, this is disappointing news for players who were hoping to control Capitano soon, but there is still hope for those who like the Fatui Harbingers in Genshin Impact.
