Gary King is one of the most controversial cast members of Sailing yacht below deck and the franchise in general, but he’s not getting a villain edit so far in Season 5. Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher has returned alongside her ex-boyfriend and friend for a rowdy romp on the sailing yacht, but she’s turning out to be more of a villain than he is. Her incompetent and lazy stews, Danni Warren and Diana Cruz, forced her to resort to more authoritarian tactics with her internal team.
Sailing yacht below deck season 5 could allow Gary to redeem himself, but it could also be producer interference. Gary was accused of sexual misconduct following an incident with former Bravo employee Samantha Suarez during filming of the previous season. Although he has denied all allegations, the network has yet to invite him to BravoCon 2023. Other than a slap in the face, Gary has pretty much gotten away with it.

Gary crashed a contest while trying to flirt with a hired dancerbut even that was downplayed. Chef Cloyce Martin is more likely to become a bandit due to his insubordination. Furthermore, Daisy doesn’t mince words and keeps stirring the pot so that she can eventually become a villain of the season.
Gary’s romantic getaways are less prevalent

Gary’s romantic adventures have been less prevalent this season, but there are signs that he could still get into trouble aboard the Parsifal III. Danni spent most of the season flirting, with her eyes on Deckhand Keith Allen. However, when he didn’t give her the attention she wanted, Danni fixed her eyes on Gary. The two shared a drunken kiss in the ocean after a night out with the crew, with Gary immediately regretting the interaction.
Gary’s seductive nature always gets him into trouble, and he’s already involved in a possible boatman situation with Danni.
Daisy gave Gary a stern talking to when he admitted to the kiss. She scolded him for repeating his previous mistakes”six or seven times” and reminded him that he was eleven years older than Danni. However, Gary’s storyline has thus far focused on his difficulties mentoring Emma. If producers remain involved, they may steer him away from romantic storylines due to his past tumultuous.

Gary is the main character and would be difficult to edit. Despite fan backlash, there was no way Bravo was going to give up on an entire season. It was probably also very complicated to reduce Gary’s role. Therefore, production decided to make Gary look as good as possible. He definitely won’t have a villain edit this season to help fans forget his past transgressions.
