Gabriela’s cliffhanger resolution may already be spoiled before the return of Fire Country season 3

Following Fire country season 2’s cliffhanger, Many wonder if Gabriela and Diego will get married, But their fate (especially Gabriela’s) may already be spoiled. The CBS action drama television series, created by Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan and Joan Rater, follows a group of firefighters and paramedics working for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also known as Cal Fire. Gabriela is among the group, along with Bode, an inmate who volunteers for Cal Fire at Fire country. However, as of the season 2 finale, Bode is a free man.

At the end of the episode, Bode, who is Gabriela’s ex, walked out of Gabriela and Diego’s marriage To find his uncle, Luke. Luke announced to his nephew that he was officially a free man. With the exciting news, Bode explained that his only focus from now on will be being a firefighter. so, Fire country Season 3 will feature a revamped bode, but it will also show if Gabriela and Diego actually get married since the season 2 finale ends before they can say “I do.” Unfortunately, however, the answer to this question may already be revealed.

Gabriela’s Fire Land Season 3 arc suggests she doesn’t get married to Diego

She focuses on work and other relationships

While talking with TVLine, Fire country Showrunner Tia Napolitano teased Gabriella’s arc in season 3. By reading between the lines, it Sounds like Gabriela doesn’t marry Diego. Napolitano said:

“Gabriela will really examine how her family of origin, being Manny and Roberta, affects who she is and how she views relationships. [Gabriela] Is really going to lean in firefighting and succeed in this area, very hard. “

Of course, the showrunner doesn’t come right out and say that “I do’s” are never shared. However, Napolitano reveals that Gabriela will primarily focus on her relationships with her family members and will immerse herself in her work in season 3. Napolitano suspiciously never mentions Diego, and one would think that, as a newcomer, Gabriela’s story would at least partially center around her new husband.

Whatever the case, it’s looking more and more likely that Diego is not the one for Gabriela.

The showrunner’s comment isn’t the only proof that Gabriela isn’t marrying Diego in Fire country Season 3. The Season 3 trailer previews a helicopter crash that interrupts the couple’s nuptials. The first responders rush to help those affected by the nearby crash, and a wedding is the last thing on anyone’s mind. Some worry that this means Diego dies during the premiere, but perhaps Gabriela just gets cold feet and tells her fiance that she can’t marry him after the emergency. Whatever the case, it’s looking more and more likely that Diego is not the one for Gabriela.

Gabriela not being married to Diego is better for the future of Land of Fire Season 3

Fire Country’s love triangle is tired

Although it would be sad, Gabriela not marrying Diego is the best way Fire country Season 3’s story. The love triangle between Gabriela, Diego and Bode is not fun to watch and is more annoying than intriguing. So, if Gabriela and Diego’s wedding happens, the drama between them and Bode will continue in future episodes. Dragging out a love triangle (a tired trope to begin with) is frustrating, And Fire country would not benefit from doing so. Instead, the series could have been more successful if it leaned more into its action roots as opposed to its dramatic origins.
