Funko has announced a digital Pop! collection in honor of 85 years of Batman. The iconic comic book character, who is the bat-themed crime-fighter alter ego of wealthy Gotham playboy Bruce Wayne, originally debuted in Detective Comics #27 in 1939. Over the years, the character’s growing popularity has spawned a wide-ranging multimedia franchise that includes live-action and animated television series, merchandise, sitcoms, radio dramas, video games, theme park rides, more than a dozen Batman movies and much more.
Now, Funko – the company behind the iconic Pop! vinyl figures – has announced your 85th birthday Batman digital collection. On November 19th at 11am PDT, they will debut a new collection of Digital Pop! figures in the form of digitally animated trading cards inspired by Batman’s rogues gallery of iconic villains, including The Joker, Catwoman, Professor Pyg, Two-Face and The Riddler. When the collection launches, limited digital trading cards can be purchased in standard or premium digital packs. The 19,000 standard packs, which contain five Digital Pop! designs, will be available for $9.99 and the 17,000 premium packs, which contain 17 Digital Pop! designs, will be available for $29.99. Both collections also bring additional benefits. Each purchase will give buyers the opportunity to reveal a rare digital collectible, which can be redeemed for a matching limited edition physical Pop! collectible.

The figures are those pictured in the gallery above, namely Batman villains The Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman, The Riddler, Professor Pyg, and the rarity of royalty Franny Funko as a Poison Ivy mash-up figure. The villain designs come from various eras of the superhero franchise. For example, The Riddler seems to be Modeled after Paul Dano’s version of the character in the 2022 film Batman. However, the other villains’ designs come from a variety of other live-action and animation inspirations.
