From the first A Nightmare on Elm Street on, Freddy Krueger's body continued to evolve in slow, subtle ways. In that first film, the most notable thing about his body is that he is burned from the neck up. Your hands are dirty, but not burned. The same happens with his belly, as seen in the same film in the scene where he lifts his sweater to open his chest. Interestingly, when he cuts himself, the measles and green slime ooze out.
Future sequences tweak Freddy Krueger's anatomy, particularly how badly he is burned. Other films now show how Freddy is burned all over his body, including his chest and hands. Perhaps the most significant change will occur A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriorswhich establishes that In his stomach he houses the souls of every victim he has ever harmed to a permanent end. These souls are visible through screaming faces that pierce your skin beneath your upper body.

Well, not like that
This anatomical status quo is carried over into the next film, The Master of Dreams, where souls fight against him, sprouting arms that reach out from his body to grab him. It has been generally accepted as part of his physiology ever since, even being carried over into this comic book. The second edition Nightmare on Elm Street by Freddy Krueger shows the title character's naked body in a hot tub, showing that he still has those ingested souls visibly screaming inside him.
The question marks the first time in A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise that audiences saw such a manifestation of Freddy Krueger's brain on a literal level. In the second film, Freddy rips the skin off his forehead to expose his brain, while in Freddy is dead, his daughter enters Freddy's mind. The latter case is more metaphorical in nature, as she enters a brain lair to peer into her memories, while the comic shows the literal neurons inside Freddy's mind.

A new addition to A Nightmare on Elm Street Franchise
The introduction of Freddy Krueger's brain contributes to a fascinating addition A Nightmare on Elm Street tradition. Freddy Krueger's anatomy is, in itself, a fascinating perspective to ponder, as there are only hints in the films that detail how his body changed. Some things about his body have been detailed to great effect (including the souls in his body and how they got there), while other conclusions can only be made through guesswork (like how Freddy is probably not capable of reproducing).
There's still a lot the public doesn't know about how selling his soul to the Dream Demons affected Freddy Krueger's body, but this comic offers an additional glimpse into the truth. As a demon, your brain no longer functions like a human's, with a basic cortex and stuff; instead, it's filled with his obsessions as a killer (literally and figuratively). An addition like this to the franchise can only happen in comics, making it even more unique. The visuals are almost too ambitious to be displayed on screen in a way A Nightmare on Elm Street film, even with CGI, but the creativity of comics helps expand Freddy Krueger character and the franchise.
