The latest update from Fortnite Season 5 Chapter 4 introduces new locations and features for the annual Fortnite celebration, and one such feature is a scarecrow players can hide in during matches. The start of Fortnite introduced new, spooky seasonal weapons like the Boom Billy and Chainsaw and unleashed old favorites like the Pumpkin Launcher, Stick Shotgun, and Witch Roar. Players can fight boss fights against Ultima Carver and Saw Billy the Doll, take on Jigsaw’s Challenge, and explore new and updated POI. In a pinch, they can also hide inside a scarecrow.
Similar to others Fortnite In hiding spots, like dumpsters or select port-a-potties, players can approach a scarecrow and interact with it to jump inside and hide. As many new features and locations for Fortnite are currently hot drops because they are requirements for quests to earn Fortnite cosmetic rewards, jumping inside a scarecrow and avoiding or ambushing opponents offers opportunities for strong seasonal play. However, unlike last year’s Winterfest Snowmen, this option is not portable, and scarecrows now only spawn in one location on the map.
Every Scarecrow Location in Fortnite Season 5 Chapter 4
Found in a new area
At the time of writing, All scarecrows in Fortnite Season 5 Chapter 4 are located in Freaky FieldsThe newest POI that has replaced longstanding Chapter 4 spot disregarded railroads. Freaky Fields bears some resemblance to Frenzy Fields and Frenzy Farms before it, with several barns and silos, a large, dilapidated farmhouse, and tall wheat fields. Scarecrows are primarily in and around wheat, spawning mainly at random. Some may also appear behind the smaller barn buildings, although most are concentrated in the northwest segment of the new POI.
Freaky Fields is currently a hot cup, as it’s near the center of the map and is the spawn location for Billy the Doll, which is one of Fortnite’s limited-time quests. It will likely stay that way at the end of the season, as both Fortnitemares and Freaky Fields as a POI are sticking around until Fortnite Season 5 ends on November 2. Players landing in this location should be wary of scarecrows, as an opponent may be hiding inside waiting to get the jump on them, and they should plan to use scarecrows to their advantage if they need to avoid enemies.
