Venom: The Last Dance is set to feature one of the most powerful villains in the entire Marvel universe with Knull. As a result, rumors about where Knull might appear next have circulated. The next Poison 3 was described as just the beginning for Knull, which naturally led to rumors of the villain appearing in the next Spider-Man film. However, this may be too small a thought. Knull, often referred to as the “King in Black,” is the incredibly powerful god of symbiotes, and there can be several designs in which the enemy can appear.
Every villain in Avengers movies is a notable character in the universe and has had significant effects on larger stories. Loki, Ultron and Thanos were three of the most popular villains. Now, with confirmation of Ultron appearing in the untitled film Vision series, all three Avengers antagonists will have had greater impacts outside of their original films. With Doctor Doom ahead of us, there are still other villains with incredible impacts that will be available for use in the next Avengers films.
Venom 3 is officially just the beginning of Knull’s story
Knull will appear in additional Marvel projects
Knull will probably only have a small role Venom: The Last Dancehow it was revealed the villain is already planned for other future projects. The film could tease him as an antagonist, just as the MCU has teased Thanos from the beginning. The question with this, however, is where exactly he will appear next. Perhaps Knull will save the Spider-Verse with appearances in future Sony films, including Spider-Man 4 or Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Knull could also be planned for run-ins with Morbius Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter although that seems unlikely after the disappointing results of some of these films. It is evident that, with the end of the century. Poison trilogy, Sony still has plans for many of its characters. Rumors have circulated about Venom and Spider-Man teaming up in a new film. However, Tom Hardy said Poison 3 is his last Marvel film. The actor explained that although he “I loved doing it” the Poison films, “That’s all she wrote for [him] and the big one.”
Limiting these crossover possibilities to just Spider-Man and Venom is thinking too small. Although the connections between Sony’s universe and the MCU are tenuous, there is clearly a relationship there. Otherwise, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man wouldn’t continue to appear in the franchise. If Sony wants its Marvel movies to be successful, partnering with Marvel is a smart idea. Finding a way to use Knull in the MCU could be the best path forward for the characters.
The MCU is also setting up Knull
All-Black The Necrosword appeared in Thor: Love And Thunder
Knull is an Eldritch god, and one of his greatest weapons is the All-Black Necrosword. As the first and most powerful god of the symbiotes, Knull forged the Necrosword and connected it to his power. This sword appears in Thor: Love and Thunderwhere Gorr the God Butcher uses it to kill gods. Imbued with Knull’s incredible power, the weapon was left behind at the end of the film. This establishes that he exists in the MCU and that there is a connection to Knull. Using the Necrosword to introduce Knull could be a natural way to integrate him into the MCU story.
Furthermore, many of Knull’s motivations concern his ownership and control over all symbiotes. After the end of Spider-Man: No Way Homepart of the Venom Symbiote was left behind in the MCU. Eddie Brock was transported back to his universe, but left a beautiful gift for the MC. The remaining part of the symbiote gives Knull the motivation to travel to the other universe. These previously introduced components could easily tie into additional stories featuring Knull in the Marvel Universe. Additionally, they could also be used to make the villain a greater threat to the entire Avengers team.
Knull is one of the best Avengers-level threats out there
Knull seems like a step up from Loki and Thanos
The Avengers are no strangers to fighting gods. His first outing pitted Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against the Asgardian god of mischief, Loki, although Knull’s power is far greater and more devastating. With the popularity of the Symbiotes, the idea of the team having to face an army of alien creatures, and even potentially being overpowered, is an incredible prospect. All manner of villains and heroes across the MCU could be taken over and controlled by Knull. This could lead to a genuinely harrowing worldwide, or even cosmic-level, threat the likes of which the team has never faced.
His status as a deity transcends the cosmos, so characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy could enter the fray.
Seeing an army of symbiote heroes transformed into monstrous villains would be a terrifying sight. Seeing Venomized iterations of Captain America, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, and many others pose significantly higher stakes than in previous MCU films. The kind of destruction a force like this could cause and the power Knull would wield over such powerful heroes poses a compelling and frightening threat to the Avengers and their entire world as it is slowly transformed by Knull. Alternatively, his status as a deity transcends the cosmos, so characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy could join the fray.
Knull would be perfect for an upcoming Avengers movie
Whether in Doomsday or later, Knull would be an incredible antagonist
Avengers: Judgment Day will reintroduce Robert Downey Jr. in the MCU, except this time he’ll play Doctor Doom. However, neither story details nor the full cast of the upcoming Avengers film has already been shared. Avengers: Judgment Day is planned to take Avengers: Secret Wars, and there are several ways the franchise could achieve this goal. Featuring Knull as the initial antagonist of Avengers: Judgment Day Theoretically, it would be a great opportunity for Doctor Doom to fight alongside the Avengers before eventually turning against them and becoming the MCU’s next big bad.
If this does not happen, Knull would be a great choice for a villain to appear in the next Avengers next movie Avengers: Secret Wars. Alternatively, he could even participate in a supposed project like Young Avengers or New Avengers. Simply, the potential of an otherworldly force like Knull is too great and too promising to be resisted. The sight of the Venomized heroes and villains would be more than enough to make his film one of the biggest, darkest and most exciting Avengers movies yet. However, this all depends on Knull’s history in Venom: The Last Dance.
Knull will continue to appear in some Marvel films in some capacity, and using him as the main villain in an upcoming film. Avengers the movie would be an amazing way to do that. With such a packed list of films, It can be difficult to find ways to fit the villain in, though it’s certainly worth the effort. More terrifying than anything the Avengers have faced in the past Marvel Cinematic UniverseKnull’s destructive force would make an incredible and terrifying enemy.
