Why you should watch Fly Me To The Moon on Apple TV+
The hilarious satire received exceptional reviews from audiences
While Fly me to the moon It’s not a true story and has little connection to the true storyIt’s still worth watching. Conspiracy theories about the moon landing have been on the rise ever since Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took those small steps in 1969. Movies often focus on conspiracy theories to get ideas, like the classic JFK (1991) did. In the same vein, a fake Moon landing is a natural concept for Hollywood to explore. The romantic comedy angle, however, makes it much less controversial.
Johansson and Tatum share a fascinating dynamic that often distracts from their characters’ highly unethical actions. The main stars have surprising depth to their backstories for a fun romp through fake history. The supporting cast is also impressive and helps contribute to the surprisingly grounded narrative. The film perfectly balances humor with more serious momentsand its fast pace prevents the audience from questioning the more absurd elements of the story.
The cinematography is also impressive, as the film features minimalist set design and impressive costumes. Until Fly me to the moonThe soundtrack fits well with the setting. Anyone who enjoys films set in the 1960s should appreciate the film’s diligent focus on its aesthetic. The charming characters, excellent settings and compelling narrative make for a film that deserves to be seen.
About what Screen Rant said Fly me to the moon:
Despite certain shortcomings, Fly Me to the Moon has a lot of charm. By recreating the days surrounding the Apollo 11 mission and the Moon landing itself, Berlanti manages to evoke feelings of triumph and admiration in his audience. This is the kind of film I’d like to see more of, the kind that wears its heart on its sleeve and takes us on a ride. A winding ride, sure, but even a long trip can have its advantages.
