Amanda Waller made a big splash to the superhuman community and stole the majority of metahuman powers around the world. However, the Scarlet Speedster has retained his powers and he puts them to good use for his friends.
in Batman #150s Backup story “Brick by Brick” by Chip Zdarsky and Mike Hawthorne, Batman is doing his best to avoid detection from Amanda Waller’s Task Force VII. Batman comes looking for Cyborg, the one person Bruce thinks could be the key to turning the tide against Waller.
Unfortunately, the amazo known as Paradise Lost kidnaps Cyborg. After failing to save Victor, Batman runs into Flash, who relays a message from Wonder Woman. Batman reveals Flash is one of the few heroes who still has his powers and is using them to act as a secure line of communication.
Flash is using his speed to keep heroes in touch with each other
Waller is going to take down the DC Universe’s metahuman population by any means necessary. After acquiring several Amazo robots, as well as Batman’s android failsafe and the Brainiac Queen, Waller launched an assault on the DC Universe. After drawing out the heroes using AI-generated videos, Waller sent her Amazons to de-power the world’s metahumans before they knew what hit them. To make matters worse, first Justice League member Green Arrow reveals that he works for Waller and that the encrypted frequency of the hero community has been compromisedforcing every meta-human who wasn’t arrested to run and hide wherever they could.
Things are tough for the heroes of the DC Universe right now. Not only were most of them de-powered or detained, but Waller had even closed almost every possible escape route. The only way the Methumans will be able to survive this is with clear communication, but they obviously can’t use the frequency that Waller got himself. But thankfully, Barry Allen’s managed to keep up his speed, at least so far. While playing a game of telephone with a speedster is not ideal, Flash’s help could be one of the key things that helps the heroes survive this nightmare.
The flash can relay all the important message heroes need
The heroes are not only powerless, they can’t even move freely with Task Force VII monitoring the skies and streets. But communication is crucial if they are to formulate a counterattack to stop Waller. As long as Flash can stay fast enough to evade the Amazons, the last remaining Methhumans should have no problem staying in the loop as they work out how to take down Waller. It will be difficult, however flash s Power may be just what the Justice League Need to win.
