The cinematic side of the DC Universe is gearing up for release next year, as DC Studios releases the first Superman trailer. Writer, director and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has been hard at work on 2025 Superman film along with all his duties of shepherding the new DC Universe, which takes on the now-ended DC Extended Universe via a soft reboot of sorts. David Corenswet stars as Superman, replacing former Man of Steel Henry Cavill and offering his own interpretation of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster's iconic character.
Now, after revealing the official Superman poster for the film and revealing the first glimpse of footage earlier this week, CC revealed the Superman teaser trailer. Watch the Superman trailer below.
What the Superman movie trailer reveals
The DC trailer reveals a lot of footage from the Superman film's cast, including Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Additionally, the Daily Planet supporting cast is also shown, such as Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo), as well as, of course, Corenswet in his Clark Kent persona. There's even a first look at Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) and Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi), as well as a tease of Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern. Krypto the Superdog also plays an important role in the trailer, helping an injured Superman.
