Wally West and Kyle Rayner are legacy heroes who continue the legacy of their respective predecessors, which divided and united them. In Wally's case, he joins the Justice League in Barry Allen's shadow, while Kyle serves as Green Lantern following Hal Jordan's Parallax transformation. The burden of living up to those who came before them drove a wedge between them at first, as they felt pressured by the history of Green Lantern and Flash's friendships in DC lore and often butted heads. Over the course of their tenure in the Justice League, however, they overcame their differences and became best friends in their own right.

Justice League's 'Unlimited' Relaunch Could Rekindle Flash and Green Lantern's Bond

The Flash and Green Lantern are constantly sidelined because they haven't been on the Justice League roster at the same time in decades. Fortunately, that obstacle has been eliminated by the “unlimited” Justice League revamp. Every hero in the DC Universe is now a member by default, meaning Wally and Kyle are members of the team. Taste of Justice #1 has already taken advantage of this change by bringing them together for a Justice League gathering, and it's only a matter of time before Green Lantern and the Flash join forces on a mission - just like the old days.

Taste of Justice #1 is now available from DC Comics.
