Recently released GIANTS software Agricultural Simulator 25 on PRAÇA and other platforms as the newest addition to the beloved series in the simulation category, but the game’s reception so far has been mixed. Drawing inspiration from the nostalgia of classic farming games like Harvest Moon, the franchise also fully immerses players in the farming lifestyle, focusing on the realism of the industry and not just the aesthetic part of it.
In just under a week since its official launch on November 11th, Agricultural Simulator 25 sold more than 2 million copies, as announced on the official website X account and reported by GamesIndustry.biz. The tweet also acknowledges that the game needs some work, however, promising “future improvements” and content additions.
Despite sales success and a respectable “Mostly Positive“review score in Steam, Agricultural Simulator 25 received its fair share of criticism from its audience. The console launch is the most problematic, and gamers like it Wesley_0x bring up the fact that the game runs poorly compared to previous entries in the replies to post X.
Farming Simulator 25 falls short of some expectations
After years of success, the game falls short
Developer GIANTS Software’s years of building farming-based gameplay have set strong expectations for Agricultural Simulator 25giving the game a great chance of being a success. Features like improved graphics, better vehicle integration with GPS-assisted steering, and introduction of baby farm animals all offer compelling reasons to play, and the franchise’s return to PC and other consoles following the Switch and mobile release of Farming Simulator 23 It’s a big selling point.
Problems like Regular crashes, corrupted save files, and inconsistent cloud syncing reduce quality of the experience. A Steam discussion post started by Propeller presents some of the bugs present at launch and 50 replies to the thread detail other various issues that need to be resolved.
Our take: Waiting for Farming Simulator 25 might be wise
Promises to fix problems and more
The scale of GIANTS Software’s planned changes is not yet clearbut the announcement of intended improvements and updates certainly looks promising. If the additional content and fixes prove significant, they could act as an effective olive branch to those in the community who have not yet found the experience satisfactory.
While many players are having fun with the game, the community at large has mixed opinions about purchasing the game in its current state. It seems to be a wiser decision to keep the previous installments, as Farming Simulator 22until Agricultural Simulator 25 is corrected.
