Next up was a list Alex made that said Hannah had the “best ass” in the class, which led to a lot of sexual harassment from her classmates.

As the recordings continue, Hannah encounters Tyler Down (Devin Druid) stalking her, Courtney Crimson spreading rumors about her, witnessing Bryce Walker’s rape of Jessica, Jeff Atkins’ death, and ultimately her own rape. Hannah’s desire to live gradually diminishes the more traumatic events she experiences and the less people express sympathy for her circumstances. In the end, Hannah committed suicide due to the enormous amount of trauma she has endured. Moreover, she did not believe that she had the resources or support that she desperately needed to continue living.

Jeff Atkins

Jeff died in a car accident

On tape by Sheri Holland, Hannah reveals the true nature of Jeff Atkins’ untimely death. His death was known before records surfaced, but the events leading up to it were questionable. After a night of drinking, Sheri offers Hannah a ride home, but she is so drunk that she runs into a stop sign. Sheri doesn’t report this, so the sign is missing. When Jeff was driving home and he came to the same intersection, the stop sign was nowhere to be seen. He was involved in a traffic accident, which resulted in his immediate death.

His death particularly affected Clay. After hearing about what really happened to Jeff, Clay visits the Atkins house to tell his parents that he was first on the scene and assures them that he did not die alone. Bryce Walker

IN 13 reasons why In season three, Bryce Walker died mysteriously at the hands of an unknown assailant. He was one of the most hated people at Liberty High School and was known for sexually assaulting women. Despite season three’s attempts to give Bryce a redemption storyline, he continued to be one of the most despicable people to appear on the series. As tensions rise between him and Zach Dempsey due to his influence on Zach’s future in the sport, Zach beats him up and he is left virtually motionless.

When Alex sees him on the pier, he pushes Bryce into the water and he drowns. Because of the trauma he caused to the lives of Alex and his friends, he was fueled by such intense hatred for Bryce that he committed murder. The group decided to charge Monty de la Cruz with the crime since he was already serving a prison sentence for attacking Tyler. However, Alex killed Bryce on that pier.

Monty de la Cruz died at the end 13 reasons why season 3. While serving a prison sentence for attacking Tyler, he was labeled a “child rapist” for brutally attacking his classmate. Once a rumor spread through the prison that Monty might be a child rapist, he became a target and was killed by fellow inmates.

It was an untimely and tragic death on the show that came as a shock to viewers around the world. His name continues to get mixed up in the mud even at the end 13 reasons why season 4. He wasn’t given his due and people in general still believe he killed Bryce Walker.

Justin Foley
