Disney’s popular animated series Phineas and Ferb is returning for an all-new fifth season soon, and there’s already a lot to know about the cartoon’s revival. Aired for four seasons between 2007 and 2015, the series is about half-brothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, who spend their summer vacation concocting elaborate and sometimes dangerous schemes. While avoiding their controlling older sister, Candace, the two are unaware that their pet platypus, Perry, is actually a secret agent tasked with thwarting the plans of the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz. With its strange and playful concept, Phineas and Ferb It stood out from other Disney dishes.
Despite being somewhat short-lived (considering its enormous cultural appeal), Phineas and Ferb It has survived through feature films, video games and even a small presence in Disney theme parks. Hopes for a revival have been high since the show’s conclusion in 2015, and while it took a while to get going, season 5 is finally here. Unlike other revivals that aim to bring the show back with changes, the upcoming revival of Phineas and Ferb is being presented as a natural continuation of the series. Whatever happens in season 5, it will certainly be memorable.
