Bobby is the town nerd with vast film knowledge. Because of his love of movies, he is the one who tells the residents of Centerville that zombies can only be killed by decapitation. After getting change from Ronnie and buying snacks from the vending machine, Zoe goes for a walk with her friends at the motel, which is the last time she is seen alive. Her death is not shown in the film, but since Ronnie, Cliff and Mindy found her dismembered, she was obviously eaten by zombies.

But when the zombies attack the farmer, he stands his ground and manages to decapitate them with his shotgun. The second time Frank encounters zombies, he isn't so lucky. Ronnie is not averse to violence, as proven by his merciless decapitation of Zoe and her friends. But ultimately, that doesn't keep him alive in the end.

From the beginning, Ronnie seems certain that everyone will die, something Cliffs points out in the film's final scenes, to which he responds that he read Jim's script. After witnessing Zelda (Tilda Swinton) entering a spaceship, the two police officers enter the zombie camp. Ronnie cuts off Mindy's head before all the zombies attack and eat him.

Cliff (Bill Murray)

Cliff is the last person to die in the dead, don't die

Cliff talking to Ronnie in The Dead Don't Die

For a time, Chief Cliff Robertson describes zombie attacks on The dead don't die as being done by"animals, or several animals." It's this reasoning that puts even more people in danger. Even when Ronnie continually says things will end badly, Cliff is slow to act. Although Cliff is one of the main characters, he ends up dying, a fitting ending given how long it took him to take zombie attacks seriously. In his final moments, Cliff is hesitant to kill his friends who have become zombies, but they have no such qualms.
