Starting this list with someone most people might recognize, the trio of birds who run OK Motors, the camper customization shop in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. This trio is made up of Beppe, Carlo and Giovanni. These black birds each have their own jobs at OK Motors, with Beppe being a painting prodigy, Giovanni as the leader of the group and Carlo as the often forgotten mechanic. The Italian inspiration of these characters makes them particularly unique in terms of automotive fascination.
The cute trio is only available on Pocket Camp and are currently not available as Amiibo cards. Since vehicles are not a big part of any other Animal crossing titles, it is speculated that the blackbird brothers will also not be available in Series 5 editions of Amiibo cards.

Almost a familiar face to New Horizons players, Chip is CJ's father and an avid fisherman. Chip was introduced in the first game of the series as the host of the Fishing Tournament, where players could only give him different types of bass at the time. In his evolution, Chip became one of the main characters in special events that visit cities. The fishing tournament in City people and New Leaf it was the only way for players to acquire the golden fishing rod, as Chip would award players with the tool after catching every type of fish.
Chip can be invited to the Roost at New Horizons via amiibo.
In his retirement, Chip no longer hosts the Fishing Tournament in any game, despite his original involvement in the Pocket Campfishing tournament before November 2020. A very intense Shih Tzu, Digby is the spokesperson for the HH Showcase in New Leaf. One of the best facts about Digby is that he is Isabelle's twin brother and is often mentioned in her morning ads in New Horizons. In New LeafDigby was the gateway to other players' homes through the StreetPass function that was available on the Nintendo 3DS. Digby hasn't been in the franchise as long as some of the other special characters, but he is incredibly useful as he was a key part of some of the multiplayer facets.
Although he was not originally in New Horizonsplayers can now invite him to the Roost with their Amiibo card. In Happy Home Designer, Digby received a promotion and worked at Nook's Homes alongside the player. He also appears in Pocket Camp as host of the gardening event, Digby's Artful Retreat.

Gracie from City Folk and New Leaf

Gracie is as amazing as her name makes her sound. A modern giraffe who goes the extra mile to maintain her elegant image, she has appeared in every game in the world. Animal crossing franchise. Because of the length of her neck, Gracie is actually taller than most of the other characters, adding more to her uniqueness among other characters. Gracie is a stylist for much of the series and offers exclusive items to players if they complete certain tasks. In City people and New LeafGracie is the owner of GracieGrace, a high-end fashion and furniture store.
Gracie's appearance in all of the Animal crossing franchise extends to New Horizons if players have their Amiibo card. Both cards can be used to invite Gracie to the Roost at New Horizonsotherwise, she appears in many of the other titles perpetually breaking laws and mingling with the snobbish villagers.

Katie is canonically a kitten who is often separated from her mother. First introduced in Wild Worldshe was seen alongside her mother, Katilin, and wishes to reunite with her. This was an interesting use of the ability to visit other cities the player visited via Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, if players wanted to find Katie in the older titles, that's no longer possible, making her even more special than originally thought.
Katie's design has been adapted throughout the games. City people and New Leaf look like a Japanese kindergarten student, showing that she was growing up. It is currently available at New Leaf and New Horizons. Although she was initially absent in New HorizonsShe can be invited to the Roost through her Amiibo and her poster can also be obtained.

Pelly is one of three pelicans who have long worked at the Animal crossing series. Not to be confused with her sister, Phyllis. Pelly works day shifts at the post office and city hall, depending on the game you're playing. She's a white pelican with bangs and a cheerful disposition, and maybe a little in love with Pete the homing pelican. Pelly was the main event announcer and bulletin writer before passing some of the jobs to Isabelle in later games, but she always maintained her cheerful attitude towards the player.
Pelly was added to New Horizons in update 2.0 and can be invited to the Roost through her amiibo. Otherwise, she's constantly manning the mailbox and pining after Pete.

This love triangle between them can be easily forgotten, but the importance of having the connection was a prime demonstration of Animal crossing'attention to small details.

Blanca is a random visitor unappreciated throughout the world. Animal crossing series. Having one of the most unique appearances, Blanca even asks the player to draw her face for her. There is a 50% chance of encountering her in the first game, but she has become more of a random villager throughout the series. In New LeafBlanca played a game where the player determined which of the villagers she was disguised as based on clues.
In fact, Blanca is only available to invite to her island in New Horizons through your amiibo. Due to the discontinuation of WiiConnect24, Blanca can no longer be found on City people. She's a fun, if a little scary, addition to the Animal crossing list of special characters that deserve all the attention.

The most incredible Animal crossing Special character that is often forgotten is Serena. Serena is a white chihuahua with big round purple eyes who happens to be a goddess inside the city's fountain in City people. It is one of the only ways to acquire a silver or gold ax in the game. There is a chance she will give players an upgraded ax if they throw the ax into the fountain, much to Serena's dismay. Despite being a goddess, she is very immature and has a highly unpredictable mood. If players throw their ax at her fountain, there is a chance she will keep it for herself, return it, or give them an upgraded silver or gold axe.
The only game that Serena can be found at is City peoplegiving her a fitting status as a forgotten character. There are mentions of her in New Leaf for there is a chance that lively villagers may refer to it in conversations about the ancient ways of acquiring a silver or gold axe.
