Warning: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for Netflix’s The Merry Gentlemen!
With dance at the center of the Netflix film, The merry gentlemen incorporates a wide variety of lesser-known holiday songs that will keep audiences entertained from start to finish. The holiday romantic comedy follows a professional Broadway dancer named Ashley who puts together a men’s dance revue to raise money to save her parents’ bar, The Rhythm Room. Like most holiday movies, The merry gentlemen is filled with music to set the happy mood.
Instead of incorporating the traditional Christmas music that plays on the radio every year, Chad Michael Murray’s film includes a mix of holiday-themed hip-hop, country music and ballads that aren’t very well known. Each song perfectly shapes the scene in which it appears, helping to create a fun Netflix movie for adults.
