Every Planet in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Explained

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Star Wars newest TV show, has released its first four episodes, introducing some entirely new planets in the Star Wars Galaxy. Skeleton Crew It's an exciting addition Star Wars films and TV shows, not only because it's a genuinely groundbreaking adventure story in the franchise, but also because it's already proven its deep knowledge and connection to Star Wars tradition. In fact, the number of Easter eggs in Skeleton Crew alone reveals the new show's dedication to getting it right, Star Wars.

This commitment to the history of the franchise does not mean Skeleton Crew is afraid of opening new paths – far from it. Skeleton Crew has already introduced a number of characters, concepts and planets that have not been seen before in Star Warsand it probably won't slow down anytime soon. Of these innovations, here are all the new planets that were introduced in Skeleton Crew until now.

In Attin

Attin is shockingly similar to Earthwhich is a big surprise in the franchise made famous a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. In Skeleton Crew In the first two episodes, viewers largely see the events unfold through the eyes of Wim – one of the main characters of Skeleton Crew. Wim appears to live a relatively quiet suburban life with his father after the death of his mother (the cause of which is still unknown), and the suburban setting shows how Earth-like Attin really is.

Wim's house is situated in a neighborhood of similarly designed homes, all with sidewalks and front lawns. Even the layout of the neighborhood is something that has never been seen before in Star Wars. Wim's arc so far has also suggested that he feels his quiet suburban life is boring, a narrative seen in many shows and films set in the real world, which is why Wim is so obsessed with adventure. Ultimately, this is precisely what causes children to get lost in the galaxy.

At Attin it is certainly not what they believed it to be.

Wim's fascination with Jedi and adventure causes him to launch the ship they discover, sending the children into Wild Space. However, once there, they discover that Attin is certainly not what they believed him to be. For Wim and the other Skeleton Crew children, Attin looked like any other planet.

They quickly learn that this is not the perception the rest of the galaxy has, as several pirates express disbelief in Attin's existence. For those off the planet, Attin is a mysterious myth, described as a lost planet that contains eternal treasure.. Star Wars hasn't revealed the truth about At Attin yet, which makes sense given that only four episodes have been released so far.

Even so, the program has already made it clear that something quite strange is happening on the planet. For one, the planet's mythical status in the galaxy suggests that no one enters or leaves Attin, which adds a dystopian element to the planet. This is also supported by the children's shock at seeing stars and the apparently artificial atmosphere of nebular gases that they pass through in the ship.

Attin's dystopian feel was subtly established before the children even left the planet. Wim's experiences at school revealed Attin's controlled (if not controlling) nature, including droids apparently running the schools and monitoring the children at all times. The test that Wim loses in episode 1 is also the one that the children take that effectively determines their entire future – something seen in countless dystopian books, shows and films, such as The donor and Divergent.

Whether Attin is actually dystopian in some way remains to be seen. It could simply be that the planet is a bit strange and archaic in its traditions, perhaps because of its mysterious mythological status and supposed treasure. The idea that the planet is stuck in the past would be supported by citizens who still use Republic credits. Even so, Skeleton Crew place in Star Wars The timeline, at the beginning of the New Republic Era, makes these questions even more pressing, as such control is, of course, reminiscent of the Empire.

Porto Borgo

The Pirate Empire is a terrifying place

Port Borgo in Star Wars Skeleton Crew

The second planet shown in Skeleton Crew it was a huge tonal shift from Attin. While Attin felt calm and quiet, Port Borgo was a dark, dangerous and unpredictable place. After the children realize they are lost, they decide to land at a starport. However, this turns out to be even more dangerous than staying on the ship and floating around lost.

THE Skeleton Crew the children quickly find themselves in trouble in Port Borgo, especially when Wim tries to use Republic credits to pay for food for him and Neel. Evidently, the Republic's credits have become incredibly valuable in the years since the fall of the Empire, and a huge fight breaks out between pirates who want to take the credits away from the children. Simultaneously, Fern and KB are grabbed by a woman who reveals that Attin is considered 'lost', if not outright mythological, and she encourages them to leave Port Borgo and come up with a better story.

Evidently, the Republic's credits have become incredibly valuable in the years since the fall of the Empire.

At the end of episode 2, the children are ready to leave Port Borgo. They encounter the mysterious character of Jude Law, who offers them the chance to escape the cell in which they were imprisoned. In episode 3, the group manages to return to the children's ship and leave Port Borgo.

It is unclear how significant a role Port Borgo will play in the future. With so much Skeleton Crew Focused on pirates and Port Borgo serving as a pirate hub, this escape may not be the last viewers see of the planet in Skeleton Crew. There is certainly much more to explore in this story that has already proven to be so open to possibilities.

The Moon from the Observatory

The planet of Kh'ymm had an air of mystery

Skeleton Crew episode 3 introduced yet another new planet, the Observatory Moon planet that Kh'ymm lives on. Jod Na Nawood goes to visit Kh'ymm, believing she will help him locate Attin. Unsurprisingly, it seems pretty clear that Jod has every intention of hunting down the supposed treasure on Attin and has many selfish motivations for finding the planet rather than just an interest in seeing the kids home.

Once on the moon, Jod warns the children that their 'friend', Kh'ymm, will likely stab them in the back, which sets up the events that follow. Kh'ymm actually goes behind Jod Na Nawood's back, appealing to the New Republic to come and arrest Jod. At the moment, it appears that Kh'ymm was genuinely committed to helping the children return home, but it can be difficult to know someone's true intentions in Star Wars. It is also at the Lua Observatory that the children and Jod learn a little more about Attin.

Kh'ymm informs the group that Attin has been intentionally hidden from the rest of the galaxy and is considered a jewel of the Old Republic – all other 'jewels' have evidently been destroyed except for Attin. They also learn that their 'Barrier' is actually made up of nebular gases, which block the true sky, including the stars. In terms of the Observatory's Moon itself, however, little is known.

The Observatory Moon appears to play a unique role in the galaxy, acting as a repository of information, including, evidently, several of Attin's secrets.

Kh'ymm appears to be stationed on the planet and is clearly in communication with the New Republic. Based on the amount of information she has access to, the Lua Observatory appears to play a unique role in the galaxy, acting as a repository of information, including, evidently, several of Attin's secrets. At the end of episode 3, the group re-entered space, raising questions about whether the Observatory Moon will be seen again.

In Achran

Skeleton Crew's last planet was a little weird

In Skeleton Crew In episode 4, an entirely new planet was introduced, and this was the most disturbing of the series so far. At Achrann, a name that is already obviously linked to Attin, shared an uncanny resemblance to the children's home planet.. In fact, when the crew stepped off the ship for the first time, it almost seemed as if they had landed on Attin, perhaps in the distant future, after the planet had met a brutal fate.

The previous belief that the other Jewels of the Old Republic had been destroyed was incorrect.

Admittedly, this would have been an exciting and frightening turn of events for Skeleton Crew and added to its dystopian nature. The planet's true origin was different, but it was still linked to Attin. Achrann proves that the previous belief that the other Jewels of the Old Republic had been destroyed was incorrect, just as it is among these mysterious planets. Unlike the suburban tranquility (and rigidity) of Attin, however, On Achrann there is a desolate-looking planet, driven to destruction by incessant wars..

This war story horribly led to At Achrann enlisting the planet's children as child soldiers, like the Skeleton Crew the children learn when they meet Hayna, a young warrior who has known nothing but war and survival throughout her young life in At Achrann. Ultimately, this leads to a beautiful arc between Neel and Hayna, where each character learns from each other. Hayna learns that compassion and peace can be a way forward, and Neel demonstrates incredible bravery at the end of the episode when SM-33 attacks the children.

At the end of episode 4, Jod Na Nawood and the children returned to the ship, ready to depart At Achrann. While they haven't left yet, this is the logical next step, which likely means Episode 5 will begin with the crew sailing Wild Space once again. It does not seem likely that At Achran will return in Skeleton Crewfor its main purpose appears to have been to confirm that the Jewels of the Old Republic were not lost, but this is not necessarily the case.

No doubt more planets are coming Skeleton Crew. The new Star Wars the show remains shrouded in mystery until now, but it's clear that this group of kids will continue to traverse Wild Space with Jod Na Nawood. This will certainly take them to several planets, most of them presumably new to Star Wars. Although Attin, Port Borgo, the Observatory Moon and At Achrann may be the only planets seen in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew So far, more will certainly be revealed in the next 4 episodes of the series.

The first four episodes of Skeleton Crew are now streaming on Disney+.
