Mega Wiggler's tree party is incredibly simplistic
One of the easiest Jamboree boards
Mega Wiggler's Tree Party is labeled as one of the easiest Jamboree boards, and it's not hard to see why. It is clear that The main objective of this board is to facilitate new players with the basic concepts of Mario's Party gameplay and what they can expect from Party Mode. The central mechanic of the board comes with the Mega Wiggler sleeping peacefully in the center. Players can choose to move along Wiggler's back as a shortcut to another area of the board, whilst Wiggler Bells situated along the periphery can be used to encourage the caterpillar to change position.
Mega Wiggler serves as a great introduction to the type of strategy that is often required of the player in Party mode.
Mega Wiggler serves as a great introduction to the type of strategy that is often required of the player in Party mode. Depending on the star's location, players may want to take advantage of the shortest path available to them or have the Wiggler move to sabotage the opponent's path to the star. Tree Party also does a great job of showing the risk-reward system that is fundamental to Mario's Partywith Mega Wiggler's occasional tantrums making the shortcut a much more dangerous path, preventing players from abusing this mechanic.
Aside from the inclusion of Mega Wiggler, the rest of the board is incredibly simplistic, serving as a mere loop with few diversions. The board's only other notable features, including a honey pot that offers a coin reward and piranha plants that can take coins from the player, are few and far between. These events are also spaced out so that they are easy to avoid. It doesn't take many turns for players to see everything Tree Party has to offer, making it one of the Jamboreethey are more discouraging signs.

Goomba Lagoon can be frustrating at times
There are few opportunities to cross islands during high tide
In comparison, Goomba Lagoon has much more to offer. Despite the setting of a relaxing tropical getaway, this competition remains as fierce as players would expect from Mario's Party. Whether it's teaming up with a Goomba for a little fishing or participating in a treasure chest game atop a shipwreck, the player has many opportunities to earn rewards and items to help him in his quest to become the Superstar. Goomba Lagoon prides itself on its variety of events, making it one of the JamboreeThese are the busiest panels.
The main attraction of Goomba Lagoon is the large volcano that towers over the island. Passing through the volcano causes an eruption, where the Lagoon becomes filled with Golden Goombas that give players five coins for passing them, or fierce fireballs that cause the player to lose five coins. Eruption serves as a perfect risk-reward mechanic, as any scenario has the potential to completely alter the player's progress and affect the leaderboard. It's a fantastic mix of tension and excitement that is fundamental to the Mario's Party series.
Unfortunately, Goomba Lagoon's variety of content is hampered by another main addition to the board. The changing tides that occur every two turns constantly alter the player's available paths granted to them. Players can easily become trapped on one of the lagoon's many islands, running in circles as they wait for their opportunity to escape. Goomba Lagoon offers little chance to traverse the islands during high tide, causing players to become easily frustrated with their inability to advance, causing them to a board that's meaner than anyone might expect from a tropical resort.

King Bowser's Keep follows Koopa King's rules
Players are given much more difficult decisions to make
As yet another addition to Bowser's infamous collection Mario's Party boards, it's safe to assume that King Bowser's Keep throws any semblance of justice out the window. JamboreeThe most difficult board is also the least linearwith an infinite number of divergent paths where the star could be placed. Suddenly, players are given much more difficult decisions to make. As they move back and forth across the board, the player must consider how far they are from the star and whether they can reach the reward before someone else, or whether another route might be more suitable.
Before the player can even make this decision, they must first carefully walk through the center of the board, where the Impostor Bowser keeps watch. The central box of King Bowser's Keep is the most intimidating aspect of this boardas players must do their best to avoid various dangers that could ruin their run, including Bob-ombs, Mecha Koopas, and a large amount of Bowser spaces. Impostor Bowser's own interference, adding even more Bowser spaces every few turns, only increases the fear and tension emanating from every part of this board.
The only downside to King Bowser's Keep comes with the Impostor Bowser's vault. All stars and coins that players lose to Bowser are added to said vault, and players who pass through the vault have the opportunity to guess the password and win the contents contained within. It is a perfect resource to cause a great disturbance to that veteran Mario's Party players are probably used to it. However, the small chance of this happening means that the vault never adds to the nerve-wracking tension that King Bowser's Keep is trying to convey, making it feel more like an afterthought.

Roll 'Em Raceway is misleading in its layout
Encourages the player to focus on speed
When first approaching the board, it may seem that Roll 'em Raceway is similar to Mega Wiggler's Tree Party due to its simplistic layout. The board is designed like a race track, with some separate paths and players often making the same turns over and over again. However, Roll 'em Raceway is deceptive in its design. Every aspect of board construction, from the defined star positions to the plethora of special dice on offer, is designed to encourage the player to move as many spaces as possible on each party's turn.
Every aspect of the board construction, from the set star positions to the plethora of special dice on offer, is designed to encourage the player to move as many spaces as possible on each turn of the game.
Players' dice rolls directly correlate with how well they progress in the group, more than any other board in the game. Jamboree. Roll 'em Raceway is constantly encouraging the player to focus on speed. From jumping platforms that launch the player across the board, to turbo dice that give the player incredible mileage at the cost of not being able to stop to earn a star, Roll 'em Raceway makes effective use of Mario's Partys unique risk-reward system.
All these elements come together to make JamboreeThe most strategy-focused advice. Players are forced to take more account of their position and the items at their disposal. Every space counts in Roll 'em Raceway, creating a party that provokes the same excitement players can find in Mario Kart.

Rainbow Galleria captures the essence of Mario Party
A quintessential Mario party board
Situated in the middle of a busy shopping mall, Rainbow Galleria is built in a way that makes the player feel like they are in the middle of a crazy shopping spree. All three floors house a variety of different stores that have a range of conditions applied to them. Players can purchase an item for a bargain at the One Coin Shop, or they can trade items at Thwomp's Thrift Store in exchange for coins to use as stars. The many draw games and stamp stations offering a variety of rewards mean that the player never moves far before finding something new on offer.
Rainbow Galleria's sole purpose is to encourage every player to spend, spend, spend. The board's fairly compact layout means it's never long before someone reaches a star, forcing the player to utilize every available opportunity to purchase items and collect stars to stay ahead of everyone else. This is only intensified by the Galleria flash sales that occur every five turns, sending players into a mad dash to stock up on everything they can to gain an advantage.
Rainbow Galleria captures the true essence of Mario's Party in all aspects. There is a calculated chaos when playing on this board that exceeds all other boards available on the Jamboreeas players are constantly earning items, stars or coins every turn. Rainbow Galleria maintains a high level of tension and stress even during longer games, as the player's position is never truly guaranteed. It is this balance between strategy and chaos that Mario's Party is known and is the best and most exciting board in the world Super Mario Party Jamboree.
