Vision debuted in the MCU in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Vision appeared in previous episodes of And if…?most notably “What If… Zombies?!” and “What if… Ultron won?”, but White Vision will do his And if…? premieres in season 3. Vision acquired its sleek, white appearance in WandaVision after being rebuilt by SWORD, which is the iteration that will appear in And if…? season 3.

It looks like White Vision will be a villain in And if…? season 3. Ironheart can be seen fighting him, while he also appears to be commanding an Iron Legion army with a new red-eyed appearance. It’s possible that Vision has once again fallen under Ultron’s control, turning him into a powerful villain in And if…? season 3and this could create a similar storyline for Paul Bettany’s return as White Vision in the upcoming live-action film Vision series. And if…? will mark the first time White Vision has been seen since its 2021 debut in WandaVision.

However, And if…? season 3 will give Teyonah Parris the chance to show new sides of her powerful MCU hero in an exciting storyline that will see the Avengers unite Avengers Mech Attack style. This will connect Monica Rambeau to even more Marvel heroes and begin to establish her as a significant member of the Avengers in the MCU.

Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness has recently become one of the MCU’s most popular characters thanks to her starring role in the Agatha all the time series. The centuries-old witch gathered a coven and traveled the fabricated Witch Road in Agatha all the timebut it looks like she’ll curiously partner up with the Eternals in And if…? season 3. And if…? season 3 will show a version of Agatha Harkness who appears to have received new giftsperhaps using his ability to absorb the energy and life force of others to steal the Eternals’ power. This could explain how she is able to hover over Earth in a dress embroidered with the same pattern as the Eternals’ costumes. Agatha Harkness is done Agatha all the time as a ghost on a quest with Billy Maximoff’s Wiccan, but it’s unclear when she’ll be seen in live action next, so And if…? season three could fill that gap.

12

Kingo

Kingo debuted in the MCU in Eternals (2021)

Kingo shining in What If...? season 3

Speaking of Eternals, Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo can be seen alongside Agatha Harkness in And if…? season 3 trailer. It’s unclear whether the other members of the Eternals team who were sent to Earth will also appear, but Kingo has been the most mentioned member of this group in the years since. Eternals’ 2021 release, so it makes sense for it to be highlighted in And if…? season 3. While the other Eternals tried to stay out of the public eye, Kingo became a Bollywood starand reinvented himself as his own son every few decades, creating a powerful on-screen dynasty.

The appearance of at least one member of the Eternals in And if…? suggests that Celestial emergence will play a role in the upcoming animated series. What role Agatha Harkness has to play in this story is another question, but with no sign of Eternals 2 being put into development, And if…? season three presents the perfect opportunity for cosmic beings to be examined in much greater detail. It’s unclear whether Nanjiani will return to voice Kingo in And if…? Season 3, but it would be great to see him reprise his MCU role.

11

Shang-Chi

Shang-Chi debuted in the MCU in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)

It’s a huge shame that Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi hasn’t been seen in the MCU since his 2021 debut Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Although Shang-Chi 2 is in production, director Destin Daniel Cretton is working on Wonder Man series, and will soon be starting work on the MCU Spider-Man 4then the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings the sequel could still be a few years away. Fortunately, however, Shang-Chi will return in And if…? Season 3, with an episode set in the Wild West focused entirely on him.

Shang-Chi will appear alongside Kate Bishop in a western And if…? episodewhile he will also be introduced as a member of the Avengers in And if…? Season 3 Mech Suit Episode. The latter will also feature a version of the ten rings that can be used by the Avengers’ Megazord-style armor, which will be very exciting. Audiences are desperate for Shang-Chi to return to the live-action MCU, although it appears he won’t be seen until 2026 Avengers: Judgment Daybut And if…? season 3 will give Shang-Chi some development before the Phase 6 crossover.

10

Marc Spector’s Moon Knight

Marc Spector debuted in the MCU in Moon Knight (2022)

Moon Knight greenlit What If...? season 3

Just like Shang-Chi, Marc Spector’s Moon Knight is also one of the recent MCU characters that audiences are desperate to see return. This is especially true after Moon Knight the series ended with a cliffhanger introducing Spector’s third alter, Jake Lockley. There’s no sign of Moon Knight returning to the MCU, but And if…? season three appears to have him groomed to be a key member of the mech-suited Avengersperhaps even the team leader, as he can be seen strategizing the Avengers team’s adventure, which is an exciting prospect.

It’s a shame that Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight hasn’t returned to the MCU since his debut in 2022, although there has been speculation that he will play a major role in the as-yet-unconfirmed Midnight Sons team-up event in the MCU’s future. . Moon Knight’s return in And if…? season 3 could be huge for its live-action futureas his popularity will prove to Marvel Studios how much audiences want to see him back on screen. 9

Kaecílio

Kaecilius debuted in the MCU in Doctor Strange (2016)

Kaecilius fighting in What If...? season 3

In addition to including new versions of some of the MCU’s most notable heroes, And if…? Season 3 is also expected to include a host of new supervillains. This includes Mads Mikkelsen’s Kaecilius, who opposed the Ancient One and Doctor Strange in the 2016 film of the same name. Doctor Strangealthough he was apparently killed when he was taken by Dormammu to the Dark Dimension. Kaecilius’s role in And if…? season 3 is uncertain, although it appears he will still play a villainous roleas he has the same eye scars as his live-action MCU counterpart.

Mads Mikkelsen already auditioned for the role of Doctor Doom in 2015 Fantastic Foura role that eventually went to Toby Kebbell.

Mads Mikkelsen was recently cast as the MCU’s Doctor Doom, before Robert Downey Jr. was recast as Doom after playing Tony Stark’s Iron Man for over a decade. Mikkelsen was arguably wasted in the role of Kaecilius, so it’s great to see this character return to the MCU for at least one more adventure. it’s unclear whether Mikkelsen himself will voice the villain. It would be fantastic to have Mads Mikkelsen back in the MCU in some capacity and, if not in live-action, the animated film And if…? series might be the best bet.

8

Hawkeye by Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop debuted in the MCU in Hawkeye (2021)

Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop debuted in 2021 Hawkeye series as the young protege of Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton, but she will take on a new role alongside Shang-Chi in And if…? season 3. Kate Bishop will star in the Wild West-set episode of And if…? 3rd season with Shang-Chialthough it’s unclear exactly what plot this episode will feature. However, it will be great to see Kate Bishop back in the MCU, as the tease of her joining the Young Avengers at the end of The wonders So far it hasn’t gotten anywhere.

Kate Bishop has the chance to become a cornerstone of the MCU as one of the franchise’s youngest and most exciting characters. As the new Hawkeye, Kate Bishop will be instrumental in the development of the Young Avengers and could even join the main Avengers team in Phase 6. Avengers: Judgment Day and Secret Wars or beyond. Until then, And if…? season 3 is the best place for Kate Bishop to be explored across the multiversetelling Hailee Steinfeld new stories in the MCU before she reprises the role in live-action.

7

Dormammu

Dormammu debuted in the MCU in Doctor Strange (2016)

Dormammu looking through a portal in What If...? season 3

It seems like an episode of And if…? the third season will take place in 2016 Doctor Strange, with the return of not only Kaecilius, but also Dormammu, the cosmic ruler of the Dark Dimension. Benedict Cumberbatch voiced Dormammu in Doctor Strangeand this was the supervillain’s only appearance in the MCU. Dormammu was teased to return in the future of the franchise, however, when Doctor Strange and Clea entered the Dark Dimension in late 2022. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Before Dormammu’s possible return in Doctor Strange 3 or another future MCU project, the villain will return in And if…? Season 3, although his brief appearance in the series’ official trailer revealed very little about his return. It is possible that in this episode someone will learn the ways of the Mystic Arts, or that Kaecilius will succeed in his plan to dominate the world with the Dark Dimension.. This could expand the Doctor Strange mythos in the MCU before Cumberbatch reprises the role in Phase 6.

6

The Mystery of Quentin Beck

Quentin Beck debuted in the MCU in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

Mysterio connected to wires in What If...? season 3

It looks like a very different version of Mysterio will be introduced in And if…? Season 3. Jake Gyllenhaal’s live-action Mysterio was introduced in 2019 Spider-Man: Far From Home as a bitter former employee of Stark Industries who decided to discredit Iron Man and mess up Spider-Man’s life, causing enormous destruction in an effort to become the world’s greatest superhero despite being a complete fake. And if…? Season 3’s Mysterio appears to be more technologically advanced and a true supervillainas it can be seen alongside some futuristic technology.

It is possible that And if…? Season 3’s version of Mysterio could be more comic-accurate, being presented as a natural master of illusion, while Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck used Stark’s drones to create his images. The animated series could make Mysterio much scarier than his live-action iterationand this could also open the door to And if…? Spider-Man will appear again, which many have expressed hope for. A new version of Peter Parker will appear in the multiversal Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man series, but And if…? Season 3 could also develop its story.

5

Iron Heart by Riri Williams

Riri Williams debuted in the MCU in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

Riri Williams’ Ironheart is yet another MCU character who hasn’t been seen since her debut, and even if Dominique Thorne reprises her role in 2025 Iron Heart series, it will be great to see her return before then. Riri Williams is the perfect legacy hero for Tony Stark’s Iron Man after her death in Avengers: Endgameand the version of Ironheart set to appear in And if…? the third season has even more exciting prospects. It seems that And if…? Ironheart will make a version of Iron Man’s Superior suit, strengthening it even further.

Arishem

Arishem debuted in the MCU in Eternals (2021)

Eternals facing Arishem in What If...? season 3

Since at least one episode of And if…? Season 3 is expected to feature Agatha Harkness alongside the Eternals, most notably Kingo, the Celestials are also a worthy inclusion. Arishem made an appearance in And if…? season 3 trailer, marking its first appearance since 2021 Eternalswhich means the legend of the Celestials will be developed much more in And if…?. Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed any follow-up to Eternalsthus developing the titular characters and their Celestial creators into And if…? season three is a fantastic choice.

Arishem looks equally threatening in And if…? like he did in Eternalsand since 2025 Captain America: Brave New World will address the ancient mystery of the Celestial Tiamut’s emergence, now is the perfect time for the Celestials to be explored further. The mythology of the Celestials in the MCU has never been fully explained, so And if…? could expand these godly figures more than any previous project.
